People were saying similar things about Kristen Stewart when Snow White 2012 came out. They’re beautiful women obviously, but when you cast Charlize Theron and Gal Gadot opposite who are two of the most gorgeous women in the world people get unrealistic and stupid with their comments.

Fun Fact: In the original 1937 Snow White, the same actress, Lucille La Verne, voiced both the Queen and the Witch. They were having some trouble getting the Witch voice to sound right until La Verne mentioned that it might sound better if she removed her false teeth.

Zegler isn't ugly but she's not more 'fair' than Gadot.

She’s not and these are probably the same *******s who’ve been talking **** since the day she got cast… but I will say the classic Disney Snow White look isn’t particularly flattering on her.

With the amount of hate I’ve seen for this and for Rachel in particular, I was under the impression that it was coming to a head but there’s still over half a year of this hate train left. Goddamn. The systematic hate for these projects is getting consistently worse, I wish there was something that could be done. There's valid criticism to be had with the Snow White trailer, The Acolyte, Rings of Power, etc., but whatever issues I might have don't exist on the same plane where all of this genuine hatred comes from. It's preordained and doesn't have anything to do with the actual quality of the product. I don't know if these people can be saved. It certainly doesn't help that there's such big money in this, the rage-bait youtubers are entirely dependent on stuff like this, and the audience those videos amass has lost any semblance of critical thinking, they're eating whatever they've fed, as long as it enboldens their inadequacies and bigoted thinking patterns. It's entirely out of control, and I'm worried. These people talk about Zegler like she's Satan.

I mildly enjoyed Snow White and the Huntsman. Other than that, most of the live-action iterations I recall of Snow White have been bad.

The amount of hatred Rachel Ziegler has been getting is disproportionate to the comments she made originally that prompted the hatred. And it's all being directed at her for some reason. It's strange and ridiculous. Same thing happened to Brie Larson about some rather innocuous comments she made about critics and A Wrinkle in Time.
