Fantasy Disney Developing Live-Action 'Snow White' (Exclusive)

Wow THR is really trying to make it seem like Zegler is more problematic in this situation than Gadot.

Maybe she is.
Time Will Tell.

I get why they chose Gal and the Evil Queen didn't have a music number, but I really wished they dug into the Broadway well for her.

I wonder if Gal was even their first choice. Anne Hathaway probably would have done it, and she's a classically trained singer.

Unnecessary padding is a good way to describe this movie. I found it very bland. I don't hate the movie at all. It's not offensively bad in any way, but it's another bland, flaccid Disney remake. All the new songs and musical motifs are very bland and unmemorable. The only music I liked were the reuses of the classic songs, which get reworked or stretched out in various places. Sadly "I'm Wishing" is not in the film.

The Seven Dwarfs look weird. They look plastic and rubbery. I think the idea is they are supposed to be magical, fantasy creatures, but they look like oversized lawn gnomes. They weren't really able to figure out how to make the Seven Dwarfs live-action in a live-action photoreal environment.

Gal Gadot was very bad as Evil Queen. Her costume looks great, but she's not convincingly evil or seductively evil. She doesn't even have some fun scene chewery-type moments.

Yep, at the time they were probably thinking she'd have starred in a third Wonder Woman movie by now. :o
It's going to be hard to explain to future generations how Wonder Woman turned out as good as it did. 🤣

The more I think of it, the more Gal Gadot getting a star on the walk of fame pisses me off. Yeah, I know, it is a pure money and marketing thing. But her getting one has never made it so obvious.

I liked when we still had the illusion that its to honor someones long and legendary career...instead of just someone paying their way to get one.

Omg Titus Andromedon plays one of the dwarves.

Wait...she already has one? For what? She's been in like 4 things over the last 10 years.

Sarah Michelle Gellar doesnt even have one

I think they cost like 75k dollars to get one.

Gadot didn’t do anything special, she just went shopping. :o

Besides Patty Jenkins bringing her A-game for that movie (but not WW84 apparently), the first WW is fueled by Gal Gadot and Chris Pine's chemistry, a particularly memorable scene in No Man's Land and a few notable supporting performances from Robin Wright, Connie Nielsen, Ewen Bremner, and Lucy Davis.

`That said, I've always kinda side-eyed all the praise it gets for the story because the movie treads a lot of the same ground that the first Thor and Captain America movies did a few years before it with a sloppy final battle to boot. It's certainly one of the better DCEU films without a doubt but coming after BvS and Suicide Squad I think there was a lot of initial shock that it didn't suck.

When was that?

I mean, Pee-wee got his like 3 years into his career

Why give them a voice though? I don’t even know how you all find these things.
Social media. It isn't hard to find. You don't even have to look for it. Be a fan of someone, search them, and the content shows up.

What's happened to Zegler is some all time BS, for an incredibly talented actress on the right side of history. It's the same with Larson. It happens all out in the open and it is a big part of how we have ended up in the mess we have as a country.

It’s really annoying how obvious it is that if/when this movie fails, it’s gonna be hung around Zegler’s neck, when she is so very clearly the absolute best thing about it.
That is the only thing I've heard about this movie. It's not good, but she's great. Her talent is apparent.

It's exceedingly absurd that you can be lionized for being a bigot, leading to immunization from "cancelling" but push back on it and now you're the "toxic" one. I know it never went away, but the scarlet letter treatment this side of Amber Heard has taken on a force I don't remember experiencing since I was a kid and Diana was being torn to shreds. And in that moment, I had no idea it was going on.

And it's upsetting to see normal people play into it, a lot of the time unwittingly. You hear someone is "awful" you going to believe it and repeat it. Even if you have no idea why they are apparently so and it effect their career. That's what happened with Larson and it's going to happen with Zegler. The one thing they both have going for them, is both are crazy talented and will find their spots. Especially on stage.

Yeah, it's happening all the time and there's big money behind hate like this. Blake Lively, Meghan Markle, Rachel Zegler...
