#1 at the box office this weekend.
Actually surpassed Hunger Games? Huh. The closer you get to Christmas.

I watched this last night. I have to say, it lived up to the praise. It was right up there with some of the best of the Disney Renaissance. However, besides Let it Go, I didn't think the songs were all that memorable. But it didn't have much of an effect on the film for me because "not memorable" doesn't mean "not good". Between "Tangled", "Wreck-It Ralph" and now "Frozen", Disney has been outdoing Pixar's recent efforts, and it probably has the Best Animated Feature Oscar in the bag.
I think the frozen songs were more "broadway" sounding maybe. And they flowed from dialogue into singing more than tangled and the other disney films.
My favorite tangled song is the one they sing in the bar with the thugs. Lol. I love that. Also the one she sings while she is alone in the tower
Took my two younger sisters to see this and they absolutely loved it. And even I really thought it was great. Stunning animation and 3D.

"Friends on the Other Side" was a fantastic villain song.
It was funny, but it was too short. Same with Kristoff's "Reindeer Are Better Than People".In Summer was another great song I thought.

Watching Little Mermaid on Disney Channel now, and you do see that they basically just went with the character design for Ariel when making Rapunzel and Anna.
