Disney's Hercules beat Bryan Singer to it

What I mean is that Disney's Hercules is a scene-for-scene retelling of Donner's Superman the Movie ten years before Mr Singer did it. Appropriate as Superman was inspired by the likes of Hercules and Atlas. It's absolutely a superhero movie, and thus can be considered when creating 'greatest superhero movie' lists.

This was one of the better Disney movies that a straight male can not be ashamed to watch. The gospel soundtrack was cool, as was James Woods as Hades, the best villain ever. Aside from maybe....Scar. And every dude had a thing for Meg, feisty, sarcastic, and actually sacrificed her life for her man. What dude wouldn't want that?

He is very underrated. But then again, I think the entire movie is underrated when people talk about their favorite Disney films.

Hades, Jafar, & Scar are the best disney villains.

Hades because he does what any good villain should do.......he steals the show.

Jafar because he's the only villain who actually achieved all-powerful status.

Scar because you don't get more evil that someone who murder's his own brother.
