Do you correct your boss's mistakes?

I have to as it's a reflection of the company.

Yes. But i'm sleeping with his wife so it sort of balances itself out.

Been out of work since the 12th of January.

What do you think?

I threaten him with violence. Usually during a mad spree. Then I tell him that we are done professionally.

:thing: :doom: :thing:

the real question is that do you let him know you've corrected it

I wish I would more often. But I'm timid sometimes.

The best way to do it is in a manner that doesn't make them come across like an idiot.

when you make too much of an emphasis on the actual error and not on your helpfulness to correct it.

I take every opportunity I can to point out their errors, just as they do with me.

Yes, particularly when it comes to writing commercials. He has no sense at all of proper grammar.

I just let them dig themselves their own hole. If they **** up, it won't reflect on me. :o I worry more about my own ass at work.

Exactly. You don't want to focus too much on the mistake, especially if it's something relatively small, because then they'll regard you as a nitpicker.

I correct mistakes in the correspondence on a regular basis, but I generally don't feel the need to point it out to them. As long as it looks good when it goes out, then that's all that really matters.
