Do you like modern music like hip hop, R'n'B and so on?

The problem is for every insightful rapper like a Nas (at least back in his heyday) there is 10 ****** rappers like Lil Wayne or Flo Rider who don't really have much to say at all.
And sadly these are the ones that people listen to the most.

Agreed about the producers, they are the venom here. Stealing stuff from electronic music and using it BADLY is just painful and pathetic.
Listen PRODIGY, they are still the best in what they do.

Will click your links as well :word::word::word:

Ya fat of the land was one of my first electronic albums I bought and holds a special place in my heart to this day.

Exactly, too many people think that a rapper is best when they are being clever with their rhymes. Real MCs rhyme and send a message. I remember when Lil Wayne was a nobody doing guest spots on the Hot Boyz albums. He used to actually be clever and say something but once he decided he was going to do a guest spot on every track in the world for a few years he lost the ability to do anything but make silly rhymes that have no real meaning

I rarely listen to newer Rap/R&B as of late unless it's a remix. We need more rappers like Common and less "thug" wannabes. One thing that always cracks me up is you'll hear some rappers debut single and they sit there and talk about all the money and fancy cars they have, so much BS. They still live in a studio apartment or on their friends couch haha

I've heard people say Rock music is dead but British Rock duo Band Royal Blood's debut album is set to be number 1 this weekend in the UK.

The band is a cross between Led Zeppelin and Queens Of The Stone Age.
Jimmy Page from Led Zeppelin is a fan of them and went to one of their shows in New York.

Royal Blood also supported Arctic Monkey's who are also a pretty successful Indie/Rock band.

I like some modern Hip Hop/Rap but a lot of it is terrible. My problem is that many of these rappers just can't rap and by that I mean they have no flow, poor wordplay, lack originality and an all round lack of ability.

All you have to do is repeat the same braggadocio line over a trap or EDM track for 3 minutes and people think your a good rapper.

I honestly think some modern rap might be bad because some of these guys are illiterate and have a limited vocabulary.
