i do personally. i'm glad we have something diffrent to seperate it from past incarnations

I think they work. I would have preferred the Turtles to be a bit less... hulkish, but it's something I might be able to get used to.

I know lots of people don't like how big they made them . I love it. they look really cool. They've never looked like this before.

I think it would have been better if they had made them closer to human height. Perhaps have one be that big. But all of them, just seems too much.

Well i understand. but i like that it's different from past incarnations but not too different. i also like how they don't look perfect i mean their mutants so i like the inperfections like they don't look cute like past incarnations still love the 90s movie though but i like that it's something new and fresh.

I do like that they look noticeably different. In the 80's cartoon (and the original comic), they were virtually identical, aside from their masks.

^ Yep that's one of the reasons i love the nick show.

I also like their faces. they may look more human but they look more turtle than ever before. the turtles have always looked like frogs

In the trailer they seemed significantly larger. Like at least seven feet tall. Might have been the angles.

I think they look great. over 300 hundred people on the effects team. I talked to one of the head artist/designers for the film and he tells me that people will understand more once they see the film and understand it's context. They look badass and I cant wait to see them kick some ass in IMAX.

Also.. I love that most of the responses around this forum seem positive. Unlike the other forum which is full of negativity. It's unbelievable the things people will gripe about :funny:

Out of all the turtles I like Raph and Leo designs the best.

I don't like any of the designs except for Master Splinter, from what I've seen I think he looks pretty cool.

Not really. I prefer the beaks over the nostrils. Everyone by now from the other threads should know my feelings on the clothes and unnecessary accessories (Donny's glasses, Mikey's tattoos, Raph's shades). I like my Turtles like how they've been for the past 30 years: weapons, no clothes, elbow pads, taped up fingers, and individual personalities. These Turtles are too flashy and big. And they're trying too hard to make the Turtles be human which they shouldn't be. They should be Turtles and seen as mutant Turtles. Not slap clothes on them to sell their individualism; they can do that themselves by their bandana color choices, mannerisms, and personalities.

Splinter is hit and miss for me. I like his kimono and he looks like a rat, but the knot top and Fu Manchu is a little much. Not to mention when I hear Shaloub's voice I don't think of an old, wise master but just hear Monk's voice.

I also fear the rich history of Hamato Yoshi and Oroku Saki is going to be forfeited for the new origin story the writers and director have created. Not to mention there's the rumor that Splinter might either be April's father or that he was just a rat in a lab who learned ninjutsu and martial arts from watching TV and not from his master in his home or a dojo. :csad::dry::argh::doh:

The Turtles, too, might not be some pet shop Turtles who by fate/accident fell down the sewers and ended up becoming exposed to the ooze/adopted by Splinter in the sewers, but they were all experimented on in the lab. As Fichtner's Eric Sachs says, "Heroes aren't born; they're created." If that is the case then you lose by chance or destiny, these heroes in a half shell came to be. Now, they're just test-subjects for some devious organization/enterprise. That to me is more "Street Sharks" (minus human trials unless of course that is another direction this movie goes) vs. the TMNT.

So it's hard to get behind the new Turtle designs or this movie in general. I like Will Arnett as Vernon, the Turtle Van, and I will say despite Raph's roided out size, he's the only Turtle who looks semi-decent (if they would only get rid of that stupid loincloth and shades).

Lol? Why is it such a big deal that the turtles and splinter were lab animals?. imo it makes more sense than just a kid Coincidentally dropping his turtles in the sewers and ooze droping in as well. Splinter being april's father?. that rumor was like a month ago along with the rumor that the turtles start out human (which was proven false) along with another rumor that month that the film was getting delayed. so.. i'm pretty sure that's not happening. it was just some dumb fanboys making up those rumors just because they don't like what the've seen from the movie

I'm glad we got something diffrent having the same thing would get boring. and why not take advantage of todays technology and create something more realistic and complex.

:whatever:

I'm all for using today's technology but I would rather see these guys. Classic look but yet still look different:

Subtle changes like adding freckles or bucked teeth I don't mind (see the Nickelodeon series) but adding **** onto their shells and bodies just to make them look "cool" when in fact the Turtles have been cool for 30 years that they didn't need useless, unnecessary junk and accessories on their bodies... that is completely different. It's too busy. Too complicated. And really doesn't make a whole lot of sense. I go back to my argument on other threads; these guys have all that junk they're lugging around and we're suppose to check our brains at the door that they won't go undetected by the Foot Clan. I know someone will use the tired old argument, "They're warriors... ninjas... they'll find a way" but I haven't read an interview or seen a interview yet where they've intelligently explained the changes made to the characters, the story, or the designs of the characters that have given me any answers, hope or resolution.

I guess I'd have to wait to Netflix the DVD/Blu-Ray to get those answers or not.

No. I hate the new looks. They look horrible. I hope the movie bombs that way it'll teach studios and creators in the future to not screw up with the original so bad.

It doesn't matter if they wear clothes. because if the writers don't want them to be detected they won't be detected lol i remember when fans were picking apart the first trailer were leo landed and destroyed the bricks. seriously some fans nitpick the tiniest things just to bring out negativity. i wonder why some people waste their time talking about what they don't like instead of just leaving it alone. i mean if you don't like it don't mess with it and bring negativity to where other people enjoy it

Some fans just hang around just to bother other people who like this movie
