Girls are always telling their pals "I love you!! omg!" and so on. Typically, I don't see guys doing that.
Well, either male or female, regarding the friends you've known the longest, the ones you have been through a lot of good times, bad times, joy and sadness. The ones that are always there...do you love em?

Seriously.

Of course. I only have one guy friend who I'd say is my best friend and I've known him for almost fifteen years. I helped him through his previous two (traumatic) relationships and I'm known as Uncle to all his kids.

I always hear guys say, "I love you, man" whether drunk or otherwise.

Friends come and go. To have a real friendship that lasts is akin to being in a relationship. They're work. If you won't put in the work, you will lose your friends.

I love my friends and I put in the same amount of effort with those friendships that I do for my relationship.

Would you take a 'grenade' for them?

I have had a lot of friends come and go in my life but the ones that have stuck around over the years I do truly love. Whether they are guys or girls.

I don't mean the explosive.

It means would you be the wingman who goes with the attractive girls not so attractive friend so your buddy can try to score?

I find a girl my friend thinks attractive an introduce them. Or when we are drunk I throw them together on the dance floor. I have some friends that aren't too good at breaking the ice, so I smash it for them.

Which means I don't need to jump on any grenade in the first place.

If my friends were not either married, in a relationship, or asexual, sure, I'd probably do it. But, the reality is it would be the reverse, haha: due to my social awkwardness and resembling a jotun, I would require some assistance with opening the conduits to 'scoring.'

**

Looking back through the years, my social circle changed rapidly: there were people I thought I was good friends with, whom stabbed me in the back, while the people I was casually acquainted with grew into my dearest friends. Time's funny that way.

Some yes, others no. I would say it is a gradient depending on factors.

I suppose I love a couple of them. I really don't have a best friend or a really, really good friend. I just have friends and acquaintances.

i've never been at the point where i'd take a bullet for anyone. i don't think i'd want to hang around anyone that would get me shot; family included.

Yeah, I'd say I love them even though I feel at times, I am unfortunately a callous and cold motherf***er.

Of course, but it's only reserved for a couple friends. The rest of the people I know I would consider more as aquaintances.

Yes. In fact, some of them I love like brothers and sisters.

I've never told any friends I love them. Maybe I'm emotionally stunted, who knows.

My best friends are like family. Im godfather to some of their kids and uncle to others.

I very much love my friends, male and female, they are a huge part of my life.
