If you know of anyone or you yourself live with autism then you should check out the comic book Face Value Comics. This is a great comic book that stars a character with autism. Created for the express purpose of raising awareness of autism and helping to teach those with autism about facial recognition. This comic not only does a wonderful job of teaching about autism, but also with treating those with autism with respect.

Pretty sweet! I work with special ed students and have worked with people with autism. We are familiar with social stories and use them to help them on any social/behavioral/learning skills/issues in areas of concern. Ever since CBM have exploded these characters have grown extremely popular among this population and this seems like a cool medium to bridge two aspects and make learning exciting and also raise awareness. Will definitely check this out!
