For a while I've just been buying games new or pre-owned with no rentals But I just went back to Gamefly,So I'm curious IF anybody else rents or simply purchases!?

I just purchase. A lot of times I stop playing a game for a few months then get an itch play it again. And that's just the way I've always done it, back to my N64 days :woot:

I haven't been able to rent for a while man. But it's always cool to know there is Gamefly and Red box . But so far it's been mostly purchases or wait for Reviews and certain word of mouth from buddies. And Block buster is dead where I live.

I mostly buy but occasionally rent from Redbox these days. No more Blockbuster near me and the local video stores don't rent out games. I appreciate Redbox as a service, they usually have a decent selection and stock and the rates are fair.

Last time I rented was the Tomb Raider reboot. I had the game for about five or six days so the total was like $12. It was a fun game but after beating it I didn't really have any desire to play it again anytime soon, so it was a pretty successful rental.

I just purchase, but not like crazy like some of you. I buy, try to complete 100% THEN I buy another one. No need to rent, anymore, since I only buy what I'm sure I'll be playing a lot.

I don't think I've rented a game since like 2003 or so.

In the last 10 years iv rented one game. I'm a good enough judge of quality to know rather or not ill enjoy a game before playing it. The one game I rented was Aliens: CM. I wanted to play It to see if it was as bad as everyone said. Yep it was.

I don't rent. I own all the games I get. I think my local library has games but Ive always been too lazy to go check it out

I used to...back when the world was young.

I rent from redbox every now and then.

There are very few Blockbuster stores left But they have a mail service like Netflix&Gamefly,The selections are huge and like going to a store..But their availability&other services suck compare to Netflix&Gamefly!!

I've never rented a game. It's been to my determent because I've certainly bought some stinkers and even paid full price on day-one for a couple (I'm looking at you, Two-Worlds). These days if it's a game I'm unsure of, I'll wait until I can pick up a cheap pre-owned copy.

If I do buy a game full price, I like to think I've learned enough now to pick ones that I know I'm going to enjoy.

I buy and sell at Gamestop. Never had a problem with the store

I don't rent, though lately I've been considering renting Metal Gear Rising via RedBox, because I am told it is pretty damn short.

I only rent games I know I'll be done with after playing through the story once or playing for a few days,I usually have games out for a week at most..although I have kept games for like 2 months,I buy the ones I know for sure I'll be keeping for months-over a year!

I use GameFly for the most part. It's really nice when I end up getting a game I DON'T like. For example, I rented a BioShock title (I think it was 3?) and packed it up that night to send it back. Just didn't like it.

Also, I'll try a few games out from Redbox, just to see how they are. I honestly own very few games. Right now I own four and three of those are more for my daughter.

I own 5 games and have a couple pre-ordered..But will cancel two of them during the week since I just went back to Gamefly and prefer to rent those two games.

Not into rentals, or even loaning from friends anymore

I'm brining back this thread cause I'm wondering if anybody has changed their status on this or maybe there's some people who hasn't read this thread and would like to post their thoughts too.

I've been using Gamefly again for a few months But will stop using the service next month,I don't game that often anymore and still play the few games I do have,I might occasionally RedBox certain games But I'll probably end up getting PS4 at launch and with PS+ and the ability to play games as they download..That's all I really need/want!

I'll still only be buying a few physical disc copies per year though.
