to be fair, it did stick in the wall, one may think the concrete took a large bash of the explosion.

saying this though, if he wasn't dead, they would have alluded to it inthe final bits of the film with him against banner being killed or complaining about him escaping.

so i think he's dead and i'm happy he died the way he did.
