Do you think WB will put out a 20th anniversary DVD?

Very unlikely. They just relased a Special Edition 3 years ago and that had a few really great dcoumentaries and director commentary. Any they add would probably suck.

They just released the SEs in 2005, so unlikely. Plus the 2005 SE covered the making of the movie pretty well.

They might just repackage the 2005 SE.

I'm well aware of the Special Edition. I just don't know if that necessarily rules out the possibility of an easy marketing move on WB's part.

If they even acknowledge it's 20th anniversary at all... then this will be the most likely option they'll take.

Sucks... but hey, at least we'll get a shiny slipcase cover. :oldrazz:

I wouldn't exactly be surprised by a "special" Blu Ray edition.

Except for some deleted scenes, which I don't think Burton is a big believer in sharing, and a new interview with Michael Keaton, it's hard to think that they could do much better than the previous special editions.

Actually yes.. that would be perfect!

A blu-ray edition with either a Michael Keaton commentary/ New interview, on top of the 2005 features. That would make the edition perfect. (Sweet dreams I know)!!!.

I still think the lack of Keaton in the DVD's is a crime!

they could shoot all new retrospective documentaries like they did with Clerks X

I just finished watching the SE released in 05....and it is very comprehensive. It took me a few days of off/on watching to get through everything again. I don't see how they could add anything of real substance. This is probbaly one of the best DVDs I have.

20th anniversary dvd set? not likely.

with the Blu-Ray set this fall (probably late fall to tie in with TDK) WB aren't going to release something else a few months later.

So thus far noone really anticipates this happening.

I'd rather have SE Danny Elfman soundtracks.

How many comic book movies has he done, anyway?

His music was used for all of the previous Bat films, he did Spider-man and variations were used on Spidey 2 and 3, Hulk....so that's eight.
He's done more than anyone else...but I still think the best was Williams' Superman score, which was used in all five Superman films to be released. That puts him in second in terms of quantity of films his music was featured.

I don't think you could improve on the special editions much to warrant a new one. They're two of my favourite DVDs.

Elfman also did "Dick Tracy", & I'm pretty sure he did "Wanted".

You are correct! Elfman is the go to guy for comic book scores.

Kinda makes me want to pick up a CD of his film music. He's already on so much of the special features of my DVD collection. :)
