Well, I am 5'7" and weigh 210.

For the past month I've been walking/Jogging on the beach.

I've been doing it 6 times a Week, for 4 miles, which I probably jogg 1.5m to 2m of those (depending on how soft or hard the sand is), the rest I walk. (joggin on the beach aint easy), and it takes me about 1 1/2 hours to do so.

Should I be doing more than that?

And what stuff do you do to keep in shape/loose weight?

i was 220... lost 30lbs im 5'10-5'11 i just simply cutting out soda and fast food and basically all unhealthy stuff.. and went to work out.. i got to the gym often and love using the EFX machines im on them for about 30 min... 10 resistence and 20 incline.. they rock. as for what i do eat... chicken, soup, rice, lean pockets, lean cuisines, boca burgers and boca chicken patties (really good btw actually), organics bran torrtilla chips and salsa, skim milk, the usual fruits and veggies, turkey sandwiches, cheese made with skim milk... theres alot one can still eat and lose weight with...

quickest way to lose weight is running and swimming... imo i can go longer running at a gym then in outside... and ive also heard for men, its faster to lose weight with lifting.. but i wanna say thats after a certain age, not positive though

i do multiple things.

right now i have swim team practice 4 days a week. and when i'm not practicing on my days off i bike atleast a mile with my big bro

off season i go to the gym. do some cardio and weight training. i'll occassionally do some pilates..and i'm thinking about trying some yoga.

another very important thing when eating a balanced diet is to cut out as much processed shyt as you can . . . . pretty much ALL fast foods, and try to eat a lot of fresh fruit/meat; think about it . . . . most people go to the gas station and spend $10 on junk food, but won't take a trip to the GROCERY store to get $10 in fresh fruit/meat

5'10 260
and many different workouts with a twenty lb weight til i can get a thirty lbs one

I exercise is walking up the hill to Uni four times a week and chasing after my nephew. So proper exercise but its the best I can manage at the moment!

for losing weight, it's better for men AND women. it burns more calories than most exercises, and for a longer time. when you run you are burning calories only during exercise, so say for an hour. when you lift, you are burning calories in your whole body for the hour or whatever you are lifting, and also for 48 hours afterwards as your body is repairing and rebuilding muscle... so the calorie burning lasts longer. muscle burns more calories.

I lift 3 times a week, yoga and stretching every day, then 3 times a week do any of the following: running, swimming, martial arts, boxing, rowing, or jumping rope

I'm 5'6 1/4 and about 178, down form 183 from my last checkup. I do anywhere from a half hour to almost 50 minutes on the treadmill pretty muche very day, and I work out at the local YMCA with a trainer every Saturday.

For about three times a week for the past 5 months, I've been doing an hour of cardio, one half hour then about 45 min of weight training and abdominals (light on weight, heavy on reps) Then my other half hour of cardio. I think its doing well I lost a little over 20 pounds so far and my tummy is starting to get definition. :woot: I never was one for junk food or takeout and I make my own meals, but I have to keep tabs on my portions. Drinking plenty of water helps alot with that :word:

I walk or jog. No set time limit, no routine, I just do it whenever. I used to do pushups but whatever.

So basically to answer the question, that'd be a no. You sound like every other NYC resident. All we do is walk. :o :(

I walk an hour a day and do crunches.
I stopped lifting weights 'cause it hurts.
Finally, I get my thing milked to keep it nasty.

I am in Canada's New York. :o But to get around I take the bus or bike or ask for a ride, when I walk or jog it's with no destination. Unless I'm out of bus tickets, and can't get a lift.

I do 3 sets of 20 pushups. 3 sets of 50 sit ups. 3 sets of 50 crunches. 3 sets of 50 side abs. 3 sets of 20 squat thrusts. And a five mile walk 3 to 4 days a week. I'm slowly getting myself back into the shape that I used to be a couple years back...but it's a tough process.

Once I get my original energy back I can get back into lifting weights to put some muscle back on this bod. :o

yoga and my gym has belly dancing now..cool
