World Doc Ock's Lair v2 - Part 1

Ditko's art is timeless.

Thank God Marvel didn't leave him dead after Kaine killed him. That was a very bad idea.

I loved that they brought him back, but I hated how they did it. Ninja magic? Lame...

So, who would win in a battle: Doctor Octopus or Green Goblin?

Indeed, and remember what Ock did to Hulk? He just tossed him aside. It's as if Ock has no fear.

Multiple super villains cannot take down Ock. What chance has one Goblin got?

You cite this example of how a Goblin can't take Ock and then fail to point out that Hobgoblin had magical powers and demon strength. Huh.

So he has an even bigger edge over the Goblins and he still couldn't beat Ock? Thanks for re-enforcing my point :cwink:

But what chance has Doctor Octopus got to take down Green Goblin if he can't reach him?

Who says he can't reach him? Throwing pumpkin bombs at Ock from a distance won't get him anywhere as evidenced in those scans, Ock can deflect them all day if he likes. So he'd have to move in closer to try and inflict some damage.

Ah, but Norman is too smart to fall for that kind of thing. Fly over Ock's head, fire a machine gun at him, et cetera. Plus, all it would take for Green Goblin to win is ONE good punch to land. Then Octavius is dead.

Since when does Norman use machine guns? If anything Ock is the one that could machine gun his ass if he wanted:

All it would take is one tentacle to take off Norman's head and he's dead.

See how easy it is? Show me proof that Norman is good at combating attacks from Doc Ock the way I've shown Ock easily fending off Goblin attacks as well as attacks from OTHER super villains at the SAME TIME!

This is true. Don't get me wrong, The Green Goblin is my favorite Villain of all time, but Ock could beat him.

I was talking about machine guns that could be mounted on the Goblin Glider.

Good point. I guess it's also important that Spider-Man uses his spider-sense to avoid getting hit by Ock's tentacles, a luxury Norman doesn't have.

How would you have brought him back to life?
I would've revealed that he never actually died and that the Doc Ock Kaine 'killed' was, in fact, a Life Model Decoy. I'd have the real Ock waiting behind the scenes, slowly reassembling his adamantium tentacles and improving them with the tech the Sinister Six stole from the alternate dimension they raided.

Any combat between Otto and Norman will result in a whole lot of collateral damage, to say the least. Ock would win though, as he has more raw physical power at his disposal.
