Doctor literally dragged off United flight to make room for company employees

I read about this earlier, f***ed up. Absolute BS because they want to overbook everything while still charging ridiculous prices.

Im sure hes getting plenty of calls from lawyers

The video of his removal is disgusting all because he refused to volunteer.

The video of him once he was let back on is chilling and disturbing

I dont have any reason to fly anytime soon, but you can be damn sure that I wont be flying United Airlines if I do find myself in need of a flight. Their behavior and treatment of that passenger is a disgrace. As is the actions of the police officers involved.

Furthermore when that person said they were a doctor that had to see patients and needed to be on that plane it should have immediatrly put an end to it. The police and crew should have left him on the plane. There are few things in this world that should be allowed to come between a doctor and their patients. And a ****ing airline crew sure as **** isnt one of those things.

Look at this ****ing hall monitor...

Ive never heard about that regulation. Ive seen a number of videos and pictures from inside airplanes. The FBI has better things to do (like investigating Trump's involvement with Russia) than arresting citizens for recording an assault on their phones.

I don't get why increasing the incentive until someone caved was not an option. It's a little known law, but if an airline kicks you off a flight, you're entitled to 400% of your ticket fare, or $1350, in cash. But they stopped at $800, in probably voucher form.

$800 is not enough (by several factors) to offset the lost business AND likely lawsuit payout when all is said and done. Was the likely millions lost really worth $800, United???

Or heck, buy their employees a rental car and chauffeur, it's only a 5-hour drive! The flight was delayed by 2 hours too, so the car might have even beaten it!

"What we were supposed to do?" said United employees. I dunno, ignore the algorithm and USE YOUR GD BRAINS. :wall:

Woo boy, that Dan Hensely guy is a real *****enozzle.

The guy comes across like a United Airline's Corporate lackey.

I really hope United loses a lot of money since that's the only thing they understand.

Man, r/videos has been going the f*** off with this one. If you do Reddit you should get over there and check out the hilarity.

"My boxing club just booked seats on united for our next in-house competition this weekend. Hoping to get more viewers than last month!"

That response cracked me up.

Someone has posted video of United Airlines nearly killing a passanger's dogs. Its from 2013 but was reposted on r/video.

Someone at United would have been carrying an ass besting for that. Im amazed that eoman didnt get off the plane somehow and get to her dogs. I would have been freaking out.

I bet people will have United under a microscope looking for all their dirty laundry.

Absolutely disgusting video. United deserves to get boycotted for this.

And now the airlines CEO is blaming the customer for being "belligerent".

I wonder if the two girls who were kicked off a United flight for wearing leggings a few weeks back were "belligerent" too.

He needs to figure out he can't win this by fighting.

Shut up. Take your lumps. Try to make it right, and move on.

A couple things I'm curious about - why did the airline call him belligerent?

What is the law regarding an overbooked plane? I have to imagine they can't take into consideration what the purpose of the persons travel, so I have to imagine it rules out his "doctor" status.

I wish these videos would show the lead-up, it's always the climax of the situation :-(

More importantly why did those employees wait until the last minute to get on the plane ? Had they got on the plane before the passengers & if they did get full before all passengers got on they would have no choice but to start denying people access to the plane & this never happens. Regardless this whole situation is Uniteds fault for bad planning & the questions are when did those employees know they needed to steal someones seat & how long did they wait to get on the plane after they found out about it ?
