Damn this perfection. Fantastic translation from comic to film. Looks like he just stepped out of the comics.

Maybe Mads is playing Deathwatch? Either that or I could see him as Belasco assuming that Fox don't own him which is possible since his first appearance was in Ka-Zar and he is also a Ghost Rider villain. He could also be Tyrannus. It's also a long shot since he's Asian in the comics but he could be Kaluu.

It's weird since I was almost positive that he was going to be Dormammu. I guess he's going to be saved for the sequel.

If only Mads were Doom *sigh*

(I'm sure he'll be great as whatever character he's playing though).

That's what I was saying earlier...
And actually, Belasco has links to Avengers Hellcat and Tigra, so there's that bit that would add to MCU universe expansion.

Also, Belasco's origin story is about him dealing with "Elder Gods" to help them re-enter the Earth dimension, which sort of fits the vague description in that article, and could tie him to Dormammu or Shuma Gorath.

I just hope Mads whoever he is, is not one and done, I know if he isn't Dormammu in some form, then it is unlikely considering they will almost certainly bring him in at some point, and you would assume Mordo will turn at some point.

The problem is usually villains in hero origin stories don't have enough time to be anything better than serviceable

Or Nightmare, Mephisto of Chthon. Doctor Strange has a pretty good variety of villains.

If Chthon is brought back he should be played by Alexis Denisof. They could show his death at the hands of Ronan was a ruse to get out of servitude to Thanos...

But yeah any of the other characters I'd also be happy with.

I know very little about Strange as I was never a big fan, but this film has me excited.

Marvel has done it again, at least for the look. This is simply badass!

Well it's comic accurate and thats cool. Unfortunately I think the comic costume looks corny as hell.

Still think this will be good though.

There's nothing bad to say about the look at all. It's perfect really.

I think Feige knows more about what the writers of old Doctor Strange than he lets on, for if he says any of it, kind of goes against their image. Englehart and the like were taking a lot of acid and walking throughout Manhattan late into the night to come up with Doctor Strange's stories. A lot of the writers were doing it back then.

Sounds like McAdams is indeed Night Nurse

We know that Benedict Cumberbatch plays the titular surgeon-turned-sorcerer in Marvel’s new superhero movie Doctor Strange (out Nov. 4). We also know that Tilda Swinton portrays a mystic called the Ancient One, that Chiwetel Ejiofor is an associate of the Ancient One called Karl Mordo, and — as EW exclusively revealed — that Mads Mikkelsen has been cast as the movie’s main baddie.

As is the case with Mikkelsen’s character, the Marvel producers are not releasing the name of the person portrayed by McAdams. But they are happy to give up a little information about the nature of the role.

“Rachel McAdams plays a fellow surgeon that has a history with Strange and is his sort of lynchpin to his old life, once he steps into he role of a sorcerer,” says Kevin Feige, the producer of Doctor Strange and president of Marvel Studios. “She is someone he connects with at the beginning, and reconnects with, and helps anchor his humanity.”

“Rachel McAdams is sort of [Doctor Strange’s] contemporary in the modern-day New York world, before and after he goes on this crazy journey,” elaborates Doctor Strange executive producer Stephen Broussard. “So, she sees him before, she sees him after. She’s kind of this audience point of view.”

Might McAdams’ character also be a love interest for Strange? Let’s see what Cumberbatch has to say on the matter. “I’m not sure if I’m allowed to say what the interest is,” says the actor. “But if I hit on her more than the Ancient One, put it like that.”

Very nice shots. I love the movie costume, it's not 100% like the comic costume and that's perfectly fine because honestly comic book costume is a little over the top.

I have pretty good faith in Scott Derrickson. Unlike many people, I actually liked The Day The Earth Stood Still.

So, guys... Do you expect some MCU cameos in the movie?
I don't know about this movie, if it will have any.
At least Ant-Man had Peggy, Howard Stark & Falcon.

I expect references but no cameos. I think it'll be self contained much like GoTG. I most excited to see more of the multi dimensions relms. We got a glimpse of the quatam relm in Ant-Man and that stuff was all kinds of crazy, weird and awesome.

Most Marvel directors don't matter as much.

Im sure we'll see some other MCU characters somewhere in there. End credits at least.

Like who though? The only thing I could have imagined appearing in this film was Shield, but they're pretty much more or less gone.

Strange is a doctor in New York so he's probably familiar with Stark and the alien attack in 2012.

Some are speculating the green gem in Strange's amulet is an infinity gem

For those that are keeping tabs that's 5 out of 6 so far we know

Space Stone (Blue): Housed in the Tesseract. Now currently sent back to Asgard

Mind Stone (Yellow): Used to be in Loki's staff. Now it's in Vision's forehead

Reality Stone (Red): Formed by the Dark Elf Malekith into a fluid-like weapon called the Aether, it is entrusted to the Collector at the end of Thor: The Dark World.

Power Stone (Purple): Entrusted to the Nova Corps for safekeeping.

Notice the green gem.

That leaves just the orange one unaccounted for

Damn, the Sorcerer Supreme is looking fantastic . Can't wait for more!
