Honestly. I hear talk of this Mitchum report about the Roids, & I just wonder:

1. Does anyone honestly give a sh**!?

2. Does anyone even care about the skilless game of Baseball anymore anyway?

I dont think anyone has really cared about baseball for years. I dont even think it should be considered the national passtime anymore, as you know, football is about a hundred times more popular.

Also baseball players think too highly of themselves, calling it the "World Series" when only America (and maybe Canada) take part in the league. Also it's the most boring sport alive. All they do is run around bases. The only strategy in the game is batting line-up.

Don't care about steriods in baseball, cause I don't really care about baseball anymore. Actually, I don't think I like any professional sport. I'd rather go out and play it with some buddies then sit and watch a bunch of overpaid jocks play it.

steroids in any sport is wrong. it's an unfair advantage.

if you ignore the numerous health risks, it's simply cheating. i've always seen it as undermining the people who work hard to be where they are and maintain their performance levels. taking something to get a step ahead is kinda cheating to me. Put in the work and effort everyone else is and do it the right way.

But the way it is looking in Baseball everybody is doing it. So is it still cheating if everyone is on the same level?

Not everyone is doing it. This was put in the wrong forum obviously because of the first few responses, but as a baseball fan I do care about steroids and HGH in baseball, but it will never get to a point where I will stop watching or stop going to the games. Thats what people/sports writers seem to have trouble understanding. They think the average baseball fan doesn't care, but they do, its just that it won't be enough to keep them away from the game they love.

Baseball has been losing it's appeal for a few years now. What made it somewhat interesting are the homerun records being broken, started by McGwire and Sosa a few years back. Not sure if 'roids are good for the sport, but it did bring excitement and attention to the game. Do any of you actually enjoy watching a 'no-hitter'. Been in one, boring as hell.

I think its kind of funny that baseball players don't play baseball to stay in shape. At least it moves along at a snails pace though. Football stops for what seems like 5 min for every 20 seconds of play. I think that there are 12 mins of actual playing time in a game.

Yeah, it's only one of most exciting and rare things in baseball to happen. Baseball isn't losing appeal, last year it broke records for people attending games. Just because you aren't a fan of it doesn't mean everyone else is losing interest.

I don't think you can trust a player in baseball anymore. That's really sad.

Why would I wanna watch an athlete play at 100% when I could watch him play at 120%?

I never cared, and never will. When I watch baseball, I am looking to be entertained. I couldn't care less what they are doing in their personal lives.

Not to be confused with the Robert Stack report,..which was also page after page of censored profanity... :csad:

i really hate steroids so it seems to bother me...although i dont really enjoy baseball that much cuz my rangers eat ballz....

Baseball is still big... in the baseball markets... its the number one sport in New York by FAR... and its the number one sport in Boston (yes even ahead of the Pats but not by much)... its still big in Chicago obviously... and a little bit in the Bay area... we all know L.A doesn't give a **** about any of their teams so I won't call Los Angeles a huge baseball market... but its still big there... and its probably ahead of the NBA right now since the Lakers stink. And its picking up steam in the smaller markets too... so I really don't understand why you people are all saying "Baseball is on the decline"... if the sport doesn't appeal to you you shouldn't be posting in this thread... its clearly the number two/three sport right now, right up there with college football.

As far as the subject... no one cares cares... I mean yeah they are probably annoyed to have believed all this sh:t was clean when it obviously wasn't. I think its just amusement for the fans that despised the players that ended up being the heavy juicers (ala Bonds/Clemens) but fans don't really care THAT much that they won't watch the game anymore or reject all the records... everyone now believes this was rampant throughout the league and this era will be just separated from the other eras and people will leave it at that.

Yeah this was put in the wrong forum originally, thats why there was those responses earlier on about it being on decline. I agree, its basically how I said, it won't be enough to make everyone stop watching or going to the games. They care about the integrity of the game, but they won't let the players who cheated stop their love and passion for the game.

There are no steroids in baseball on players on the players Chuck Norris has breathed on

no i dont. if all the players take steroids theres no advantage

...Except not all the players take steroids. Awards get given to the wrong people, the integrity of the game is compromised, all that great crap.

Ummm yeah, that's wrong.
Dodger baseball isn't just big here, it's everything, it's HUGE.

I'll take your word for it... I'm an East coast guy... but people who think Baseball is on the decline just aren't paying attention... or they live in Alabama/Georgia/Florida/Carolina's (Both of them) or Idaho or Oregon or something and worship their college football idols.
