Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Does anyone know when the DVD/Blu Ray of AOS is coming?

I signed up thanks for the tip

Based on ABC's DVD history, don't expect it until mid to late September. It's quite possible it'll come out the week before the new season begins.

500 reviews already.

Amazon Instant Video sells the episodes in a digital format. They've allowed reviews for months based on that. For those unaware, Amazon mixes reviews for all formats on a product page. The DVD page will feature reviews of the Blu-ray when that comes out, too.

I truly hope there is a one shot included, in addition the regular behind the scenes stuff that is always added.

Ah, I see.

I was thinking about that. Honestly, with it being 22 episodes worth of material (approx. 946 minutes), I'm hoping to see a few of them.

I want to see some loose ends tied up and questions answered.

Give me three (or four) One Shots:
-A specialized SHIELD team hunting down the Jotun monster left behind after TTDW
-Hawkeye on a mission during the events of CATWS, team turns on him, he takes them down (maybe save that one for the CATWS Blu Ray)
-Damage Control cleaning up DC after the events of CATWS (humorous and maybe Wrecker could be introduced for the Luke Cage Series)
-The actual reveal of The Mandarin
-A funny short with Patton Oswalt on the operations at Providence during the big events of the MCU (what he did during the Battle of New York, the fall of The Convergence, SHEILD), playing Call of Duty, just following the daily highlights of his life.

One related to GOTG is an option as well, though I won't have a legit idea on that until August 2.

that would be nice. Also I hope they get creative with the cover.

I've always liked simple box art. I would just have the SHIELD logo as the box art, while the inside has all kinds of images from the show, shots of the team members' badges, whatever.

Special edition Blu Ray cover that shows the SHIELD logo from one angle and the HYDRA logo from another.

Man I just want SOMEONE to make either a Stark OS or SHIELD os for computers.

thank you

No problem. I figured someone should actually answer your question.

An example with ABC:
Castle (Season, Premiere, Region 1 DVD Release):
Season 1, 3/9/09, 9/22/09
Season 2, 9/21/09, 9/21/10
Season 3, 9/20/10, 9/20/11
Season 4, 9/19/11, 9/11/12
Season 5, 9/24/12, 9/10/13
Season 6, 9/23/13, TBD

So you see, it was almost exactly a year with Castle. The same appears to have followed with Grey's Anatomy (September premier, September release).

Agents of SHIELD premiered September 24, 2013, so I expect the release date for home media to be either September 16, 2014 or September 23, 2014 (possible same day as the Season Two premiere).

They could even use the SHIELD symbol design seen at the beginning and end of episodes (as well as the Hydra variant from that one episode).

Has any other company ever made an OS based off of a movie/tv show/comic?

IIRC there have been some fan made things. I believe there was a fan project to do a Lain OS (Serial Experiments Lain) years ago. No idea if it ever went anywhere.

That's what I was thinking. I just couldnt get the words out correctly that day. Thanks bud!

It is possible that it may not get released to DVD or Blu-Ray.

I was more than a little amazed that neither Ultimate Spider-Man nor Avengers Assemble were sent to DVD (outside of a couple "sampler" style compilation DVDs). Try explaining to your 9 year old son, who loves Ultimate Spider-man, why he can't have the DVDs for it.

I have to wonder if Marvel has decided to focus on digital formats only for their TV products, and only produce DVD and Blu-Ray for movies?

I didn't take any chances. I bought the Season Pass on iTunes and didn't look back.

If the Goldbergs are getting released on DVD, then so is AOS.

Now here's the question. Do I file it under A or M in my DVDs?

I also generally separate TV from Movies, but if I buy Phase 1 (I'm waiting for a BluRay player then I'll buy the box set), should I put this with it as well? Do I need a whole new system for organizing DVDs? Am I overthinking this?

Yes.

With TV shows under A. I love Marvel as much as the next guy, but don't ruin the organizational integrity for ANYONE.
