Whether or not I'm allowed to ask a question like this here I don't know, but it's something that's driving me insane. I can remember the look of the books, I can remember how a few of my favourites were but I can't remember who they were by or even what their names were.
I may be going back 10 years, maybe a little less but I'm 21 now and I'm sure I wasn't reading them at 13-14.
Before anyone thinks about these old books, they aren't those books where they'll have a bit of story and you'll do an action and turn to page -- to find out what happens next.
They're these old sort of comic like books? Not exactly comics, but I think they had frames like comics, or at least they were based around images and you'd read what the characters were saying. You'd go through the story a bit and you may be presented with a bit of a puzzle ranging from spotting the difference between two objects or having to figure out which way someone went or notice certain things.
They were kids books, so that's probably why they sound fairly simple. But they had a certain charm to them that made them enjoyable. I guess mystery in their stories? I remember one was sort of like an Indiana Jones style adventure through ruins, another was a slight "horror" story, in a haunted mansion.
I can't remember what they were called at all though, or even who wrote them or did them. If anyone has any idea, then any help would be great. I've been searching for a few years now, and I've even searched around here but I think I got rid of them.
Anyway, sorry if I'm not allowed to ask about what certain books were called. I figured since this is a section for books and other things, discussion and so forth, it might be alright.
