The Dark Knight Does Anyone Think... [Some Spoilers]

That we will get Gotham Times mentioning things that happened in the movie? Like...

Joker being captured, what happened to Harvey, the whole ferries incident, Crane being captured, etc.

What do you guys think? I don't want to get anyone's hopes up, I just think it would be cool if that happened.

No, no I do not. The virals are over, for at least this point. I don't think they will be making ANY advances story wise until they have the script for the third movie in place.

For example, if one way they deal with the lack of Joker in the third installment is to have the third movie take place immediately after the events of The Dark Knight, having a Gotham times come out updating about situations might screw around with that.

Point being, it would be nice, but story wise it probably not be smart. And on a marketing level, really dumb. You want people to go and see the movie, not be updated about what happens in it in a free paper.

The virals aren't over till the fat lady sings. There are almost always credits. Of course sometimes the credits don't get posted for like, a week, but that's the facts.

i agree most virals have credit at the end or soem where in the game and TDK has not had them in the game so it is not over till then

Although I did like seeing Brian in the movie as well as references like "sitting ducks" and "shooting gallery" as well as the jokerized Gotham Times that referenced the Mayor's future murder.

As I've said before.. I believe the virals are over for now.. but they will be back once the DVD/Bluray's start to hit full swing in terms of promotion. I can just see it working out for WB if they did the virals to push the discs.

well, I dunno about using th viral to push the discs. I mean they might...but I seriously doubt they will have to. Everyone that I have talked to so far has been so blown away by the movie that they are sure to buy it on DVD (even my parents)
