:supes: Think about it if he goes after Lane cus he loves her and it was made clear she still loves him the one with everthing to lose is Richard. Richard loses his girl and the kid he has grown to love thinking its his own. Even when he finds out its not (probly on Maury) that wont change the fact that he loves them both. Superman will be the cause of they're break up Had he'd not pry and try to make up with Lane which he is doing Lane would probly still be with Richard. But I Feel the film makers will make it seem like Lane never ever wanted to be with Richard and that Superman had nothing to do with her choice to leave him. Then that would make Lane a Slizz. But the way the situation played out in this film IMO makes Superman look BAD. What does everyone else think........

Superman is just reclaming what belongs to him . Which is Lois Lane, And I like the fact that he fought to win her back. It shows How much he really cares about Lois. richards a nice guy, But he doesn't know Lois Lane like Sups does.

A woman like Lois Lane needs a Man like SUPERMAN/clark Kent to be with her.

And while Richards a nice guy, He's not the right man for Lois. SUPERMAN is .

Superman is definitely planning some homewrecking. You heard him.

"I'm sorry for leaving you, Lois. I'll take you back now."

His intentions are clear.

NICE!!!! that is really flipping funny. But GOOD point Supes will definitely be a home wrecker if they do split.

I agree, I really dislike that part of the movie

& how do we know Richard might not decide to simply leave Lois ? He probably has a good idea now that Lois has always secretly been deeply in love with someone else for one thing. I do not see Superman as a home wrecker at all. Like Jimmy said he has always thought Lois was still in love with you know who. If you ask me Superman DID NOTHING WRONG. He comes back Lois hates him & he is trying to WIN HER FRIENSHIP BACK. It is Lois the one with the feelings. Sure Superman may still love her but I do not think he would og that far. This is Lois's decision. Not Supermans. Clark came back & then simply did one of the things that he did best. You guys can think what you want but I disagree

So superman should just be an emotionless alien who helps the people of Earth?

I like the way the relationship with Lois is portrayed.

Superman, in this film while still longing for Lois, understands and respects what Lois has. And yet, she has also given him the greatest gift he could ever have...a son. A son who shares his heritage and now he's not alone.

The question will be, can they ever be a family? This will definitely be explored in the sequel(s).

Not only is Superman bad and a home wrecker in this plot (remember he was making moves on Lois KNOWING she was in this married like relationship), but it also makes Lois into a ****. For Richard to think the kid is his means that Lois must have gotten with him 1 or 2 months after SUPERMAN left. man,...that's pretty quick

*rolls eyes*

Superman isn't a home wrecker, it's up to Lois who she picks. And she's not a ****, she was lonely and very pissed (I read the prequel comic).

I look at the rooftop scene as a Superman sort of testing her commitment to Richard.lois and Superman's goodbye if you will.He is testing the waters to see where he stands with her life now.He takes her on that super romantic flight just like from S:TM.There is a shot of them holding hands ,Lois looks at her engagement ring and then Superman . She has her choice superman or Richard. When they get back to the rooftop her first reaction is to want to kiss him .She dosen't she stops herself and talks about how good of a guy Richard is and Superman agrees with her . She chose Richard and Superman is fine with that.He leaves her after that . Then later on he finds out Jason is is son -that's what I think she whispers to him in the hospital . Jason will have someone unlike Clark when he grows up with the same powers and ablities he won't be alone in the world like Superman felt ; "I'll always be around."Anyway that's the way I felt about Lois and Superman's love story in the film .I thought it was all about matuarity and how change happens relationships evolve over time nothing stays the same. I hate over analysing things so I hope this idea isn't so far fectching to some of you.

Gee, I can just picture Supes with a club and pronounced brow, now!

Richard VS Superman in the next movie!!

omg.. it's that simple. Lex and Richard team up and Richard tries to kill Superman! i love it!

Lois even speaks of how she feels that Superman is her soulmate.

remember when she's talking to Clark about if he's ever felt that he knew he was meant to be with someone even if they were from two different worlds?
yeah. Superman's not a home wrecker. she thought he was gone for good, she moved on with life like everyone else does after a break-up. she wasn't counting on his return.

During that scene where Lois tells Superman "Richard takes me out" (or something to that effect), indicating her commitment to her new love interest - Superman should've just been a gentleman and backed off, unless Lois made the personal decision to leave Richard for him. But no, he has to get competitive "Not like this" (indicative of his flight) - not exactly a fair fight, seeing as Richard is human and he is alien with superhuman powers.

Throughout the movie I felt more for Richard than for Superman. Supes left Lois hanging without so much as a word, he returns to earth and appears to believe she would've remained single in faithful wait for him, even though he didn't think she deserved an explanation before the 5year wait. Richard, on the other hand, was there for Lois, all the times she needed him. He's flesh and blood, vulnerable in every way as a mere mortal, and yet he wouldn't spare a second thought to saving Lois, even if it means his own life. Superman would do that too, but that kinda makes Clark's one plus point moot. Even when it gets pretty clear that there's something going on between Lois and Supes, Richard never once shows a streak of jealousy or posessiveness. He never holds her back. He lets her be the woman she wants to be.

If I were Lois, I would be with Richard... period. This is nothing to do with Superman being alien, but just because Richard is a more responsible and respectful person.

Superman was fine with Lois chosing Richard...
What's the problem???

He took Lois to get her to understand why the World needs Superman, after he took her back, Superman was very respective of her decision!

He backed off, until the end when Lois herself give him a Kiss on Death bed... telling him about his son.

OMFG...Superman is NOT a homewrecker! Richard and Lois are still together aren't they?

All Supes did was tell Lois that he'll always be around...he's not pushing her to make any type of decision nor did he ever hint that he wanted her to end it with Richard...sure he was hurt that she had someone new, but that's all he was--HURT.

Now with Jason being his son, all that did to Supes was show that he does indeed have a son...that doesn't mean that he's gonna want Lois to dump Richard and be with him and be one big happy family. He's going to let Lois live her life and figure things out...while at the same time let her know that he'll be around should she ever need him.

Superman's love for Lois doesnt make him bad.

its the F#$%@#%^^ writers who wrote him into this plotline that made him look bad. :o

everybody knows-- and you dont need to be a comic reader-- that Superman would never find himself in such a predicament. some other less virtous, less insightful superhero maybe, but not Superman.

Well i am not sure he would never get into his perdicament maybe his human upbringing is messy with his judgement. And its not done in this film i am sure he will continue to persue his relationship with lois. Come on he went to her house to spy on her........

More like splashing the waters. you seen the way he was holding her hand i mean i dont know about you but when i hold a girls hand like that ITS ON......

He's not a homewrecker if Lois wants him back.

I love how the woman, Lois, is completely free of all fault here......like, she's not to blame at all if she leaves Richard. It's all Superman's fault, goddamn.
