I thought we should have one thread where this can be shared. I always find stories about audience reactions to trailers and movies interesting to read. If you have any, please share. Can also share friends and family reactions.

I only saw the first trailer at Thor 2 and there was only about 10 people there so no reaction. We'll see if the trailer 2 is with CATWS.

I saw Thor 2/Catching Fire last year and no trailer for DOFP.

I saw Captain America 2 last night and no trailer for DOFP.

It kinda sucks and I don't really want to watch more movies just to catch it.

Hopefully I'll see it when I watch Amazing Spider-Man 2.

When I saw Thor 2! Dofp trailer showed and everybody was like "the xmen!!! They are back"

And when it ended, everybody was like cool or that looks awesome.

No trailer for me yet :(

Although the audience reaction at the end of Wolverine was "hey look, Patrick Stewart!"
While I picked my jaw of the floor

when I saw the XMen teaser before Captain America, I dont remember any words from the audience, lol. The thing is that they aired the Spiderman one before it, full of action, special effects and all of that, so once the XMen teaser came right after.... it felt really slow and kind of boring.
So it wasnt a good idea to show them back to back, imo.

Saw Winter Soldier and no DOFP trailer. So annoyed. Thankfully, the movie was great so that even things out.
There wasn't Spiderman or Godzilla ones either.

My "advanced" screening of Cap on Wednesday only showed two trailers, both Disney: Maleficent (*crickets* in the theatre) and GOTG (a very receptive audience, laughing at the jokes, as there were a lot of people that dressed up in Cap costume, even I inadvertently wore a stars and stripes t-shirt).

Hoping to get a more diverse collection of trailers for my Cap showing tonite. **** that I just want a DOFP trailer!

I've seen Cap2 twice at two different theaters, I've not seen the trailer yet. It's a little maddening.

Reposting here:

My theatre this third go-around showed (in this order) Lucy, Spidey, GOTG (and Maleficent, forgot to mention that the first time).

Oh and X-men Days of Future Past!!!! :woot:

It played right after Lucy. As soon as it started I turned and whispered to my mom X-men! with a grin. I also heard my sister golf-clapped to herself.

I was grinning ear to ear from the trailer (this is only the second time I've ever seen an X-men trailer in a theatre, the first being for X3 :o ).

After the trailer played, a guy behind me Whoo!'ed. I looked behind me to the guy, and in one of the longest 2 seconds of my life (it honestly felt like 10 seconds) I was second guessing if I should shout too.

I finally said YEA!

I also forgot to mention that after I said YEA! the same guy then said to his group, "alright that's all I came here for, let's go guys." lol

This prompted another chick to shout YEA! behind and to the right of us.

I later found out it wasn't my little sister who golf-clapped. So that's 4 unique audience members who found the need to show their enthusiasm for DOFP. I'm happy. :yay:

I didn't get the DoFP trailer with Cap 2, but just looking at reactions around the internet it seems to be getting positive feedback. Ontd backed up on a lot of their hate for this movie when it came out.

I was at that screening at the Scotiabank Theatre. There was only
ony guy dressed up as Captain America. Was that you? Hahaa

My gf was like "That movie looks so bad" after watching the GOTG trailer.

I saw Cap 2 and got the DOFP trailer and GOTG.

The GOTG one looks kind of...awkward. And unnecessary.

But the DOFP trailer...goosebumps! Seeing it on the big screen was chilling.

Absolutely agree, I got chills seeing the latest trailer on the big screen. It felt massive, it felt dangerous, I believed in it. The X-Men are well and truly F'd in the future.

As for the audience, my friend was chatting away through every trailer and then when it came to DOFP she stopped and fell silent, everyone did.

Those weren't the only two in my screening, but the only two…after DOFP and Spider-Man that I was interested in…

Maleficent the reaction was kinda WTF! while everyone loved and laughed at GOTG.

Really wished DOFP was in there too, I'd really like to see the trailer on the big screen…LOL.

…only downside, lots of chatting during the trailers and film…usually have good audiences…

Spidey got people talking

GOTG got people confused

DOFP- not a word. To be fair, it was the first trailer so it's a bit understandable.

Like 3 people screamed xmen when the trailer 2 came on. People also checked out the poster at the theatre. They were naming characters.

Nooooo LOL

I actually posted a pic of the guy on my instagram saying "Thankfully the costume in the movie is better than this guy's." :oldrazz:

Actually before he put on the helmet, the whole get-up didn't look half bad.

(I had a blue Dsquared shirt with stars and stripes. Again unplanned.)

btw I didn't know you're in Van too.

Awesome!

I saw under the skin (meh, overrated) and got the first trailer Xd

I saw it with Cap 2 and my cousin turned to me and said it gave her goosebumps so

I took my brother and 3 friends to see cap and promised them the awesome trailer... So of course spiderman came on ¬_¬ I did make them watch it afterwards though and all thought it looked epic. With one suggesting we all go and see it in the Gallery seats at our local Odeon :D

Nice to finally see the Xmen trailer in theaters, it looks fantastic. I went with my dad and younger brother to see Cap2 (great movie, check it out!) and they showed the XMen, Spidey, and GotG trailers. My dad seemed pretty interested in Xmen, he enjoyed Forst Class when it was on TV recently and thought the idea of the old an young crews together was interesting, my little brother didn't seem to care for it much, but that's probably because that trailer doesn't have much action. Spidey definitely took the cake for them both though haha both of them were like "WOW!" at certain parts. Guardians is probably my favorite since I'm really interested in the concept and the MCU connections. Rocket and Groot got a huge laugh out of my dad and I explained to him this is the next marvel movie after cap and they're like space Avengers, my little bro is already pumped for that movie cause I've been showing him pictures and the trailer before. but all 3 were fantastic IMO.

Can't wait for Xmen: DoFP! I'm going to try and stay as spoiler free as possible like I did for Cap2 because the payoff is much more special IMO. Just figured I throw a little general audience take on things in here.

As for the theater as a whole there were only about 10 people in our early Sunday screening so couldn't gauge any other reaction than those I was with lol.

How was your guys experiences with the trailers if you saw Cap in theaters? How did the people you were with who maybe hasn't seen it before react or the crowd in general? I'm hoping the movie does well, if it can replicate these early Cap numbers that would be incredible! Great time to be a comic book movie fan!! :D

You lucky people. I'm so sad that I didn't get to see it.

Trailer never was shown here in my city and I'm afraid we will not be getting DOFP at all. Sadly ... because the cinema is promoting Amazing Spider Man and Maleficent but not DOFP. Also the last movie that has relase date in my cinema is Grace of Monaco on May 22 and Maleficent is on soon.

Still haven't seen the DoFP trailer.

Went to see Noah (which was execrable, I'm still fuming about it, I shall say no more about that atrocity of filmmaking)... and saw the trailers for Transformers, Godzilla, Transcendence, Pompeii and Amazing Spider-Man 2. Only the Spider-Man stood out as fun enough to see, the married couple next to me agreed with my mutterings after each trailer.

Just don't get me started on how excruciatingly awful Noah was...

Went to see Captain America 2 yesterday(I live in NZ). The first trailer came up and it was for X-Men:DOFP and they had the third (international version) trailer. Not a single sound from the audience. I don't think New Zealand has a clue who the X-Men are, after Avengers. Avengers was such a hit here, so hoping X-Men will bring in more fans.
