Fans of original films should enjoy rogue cut because seeing original version shot for futre scenes with rogue's scenes reedited back Into film with more of Iceman and older Xavier and Magneto will be just about the last time trilogy versions of characters will be seen with exception of Wolverine in solo film has memory of films no longer in "Contunity" after time travel mission In DOFP.Now while we could see original cast again there will be "Alternate versions" of the characters.

Thats like the fifth time you said that.

I haven't purchased DOFP yet thinking the Rogue Cut is nicer, hoping they'll add some more interviews of the original cast. :(

Did they Fox forget ?

I hope the extras on the Rogue Cut have all of the "Bent Bullet" media and info.

Anyone who has Twitter ? Retweet James Finn's @FinnJ Rogue post. If it is reached 100K he'll post the release date

I retweet it too. 100k is a big number and we're still getting the Rogue cut no matter what. But why not try (:

100,000 retweets. Okay James Finn. I will just wait for Fox to officially announce it

I think I read that this will not come with the original version but is there any chance that there might be a more expensive, possibly store exclusive bluray set that has the original + Rogue cut? I hope what we first were told only applied to the standard release

Possible, but unlikely. Why let us have both when they can make us pay twice?

That was why the Rogue cut wasnt included in the original release. People will already be paying twice with this new version. When the new release comes out, its not like most those that skipped out the first time are going to go buy both. If you didnt get the first before, why now? FOX can make more money by doing a dual release at a higher price point bc most people will get just one or the other.

I agree, the Rogue Cut wouldn't pull in more buyers unless it had more incentives for them. They'd have to advertise it as a different movie to DOPF that offers:

Sneak peaks of F4, Apocalypse, Deadpool (and maybe Wolverine III and Gambit).
Extra action sequences & characters
Extra interviews
A collector's item?

They won't film any new interviews then what they have already filmed and action scene wise I have a feeling their isn't a gold mine full of deleted action scenes if any at all on the cutting room floor

What about those who did buy the first release already? By the time the rogue cut is out it will have been plenty of time for people to buy the original cut, infact the first release has been out a couple of months so it's not really their problem, some stores may release it has a set but I doubt fox will do it

What about them? They'll either skip the Rogue cut or buy it

Obviously who ever has the original version won't by a duel set and how many won't have bought the original version by the time the rogue cut is out? It's been out months now so there is plenty of time, not everyone is gonna say well I will wait for the rogue cut

Okay? Whats your point in stating the obvious?

Maybe I misunderstood I thought you was implying fox should release versions together because it would benefit them

Nearly every major movie gets multiple SKUs released. I dont see why the same can be for the Rogue cut. The original had at least 7 in North America alone.

1. Bluray - Digital HD combo of Rogue cut for $25
2. Bluray + 3D - Digital HD combo of Rogue cut + original for $30

Something like that for example is what I was hoping for, even if the latter is in limited quantities and limited to a retailer like Best Buy. I think its a missed opportunity to not do it

Can't see that one happening. If they don't blitz marketing, this will be a small seller

It's technically an extended version so how much marketing do you put into an extended cut? probably not a lot

I see this is the most active thread so I'll ask these questions here:
1) how does wolverine still have his metal claws in the future if he lost them in the wolverine?
2) why does mystique turn back into her female form as she's walking away from the plane in the opening Vietnam sequence? She was pretending to be the general, and then changed into Jennifer Lawrence. I get that it is to telegraph to the viewers who she is but that's so poorly executed

I mostly disagree about Best Film Make-up for Mystique's mess of a DOFP body paint and leotard combo.

Agreed. It's pretty distracting. Also I don't think they deserved the Oscar nom for visual effects, I just rewatched the film and there is some pretty lackluster CG.
