DON'T switch from FIDO to TELUS

Telus mobilite offered a "Match It" plan. Supposedly if you traded in your Fido phone you would get the same rate plan from Telus that you get from Fido.

Well... THEY LIE!!!!

On FIDO I pay $11.87 a month (no air time, but it's an emergency use only phone).

I switched to Telus and my monthly bill is over $19 (and that's only temporary because they had a 50% off special). They difference is they charge a $7.50 licensing fee on top of their rate plan. So the $10 FIDO plan costs $17.50 on Telus (with taxes to be added on to that).

That is not a "MATCH" if you ask me.

Now I am going to have to go through the hassle of switching phones again.

 

Now Telus is offering "pay-per-download porn"

As the Toronto Star puts it:

"We thought we had problems with people using their cellphones while driving, but at least when they're only using them for conversation, there's still a hand available for steering. "
