Be honest. This show takes itself to seriously. The dialogue is always so dramatic and dead serious. There was one funny line in the exchange between Peter and Mohinder(Sayid Ripoff) during the pilot. The show is just dry, lighten the hell up.

And Matt Parkman, don't get me started on Matt Parkman.

Yes and no. I think they are trying to be serious so that non-geeks can get over the fact that it's about superheroes. But it has its moments.

Always??? Apparently you don't watch the exchange between Hiro and Ando. For most episode, they lighten the mood of the show.

Plus, the show is considered a drama and sci-fi. Its not a comedy. if u want funny lines, watch The Office or The Simpsons.

What's wrong with Parkman? I don't think the character has been fully developed in the show yet. I think I read somewhere he will be more powerful, but then again, that would go with most of the heroes.

Hiro/Ando gets old pretty damn quickly. There no Sawyer/Hurley. Besides, Hiro and Nathan are much funnier, when they get screentime together.

Matt Parkman will never be anything more than Matt Parkman. Eliminate Parkman, Nikki, Micah, and D.L.

Mohinder(Sayid Ripoff)

Erm... even if I tried to agree with you, this remark would definitely make it harder.

Agree with Hiro and Ando comment, after the events in homecoming, it went downhill from there. But Hiro seems to be getting back on the right track after the most recent episode. This isn't LOST and not every show needs to be LOST. Hiro and Nathan are funny, but at the moment it's almost impossible for them to have screentime together. Why? Hiro's on a quest to "save" the world, while Nathan doesn't even acknowledge his super powers.

Where is that quote in your sig from? I KNOW I've heard it...and it's one of those things that'll tick me off if I don't figure it out.

Yes, um, because they look the same and of same ethnic origin and are the same character.......

I don't, by the way, think the show takes itself seriously. It parodies itself quite a bit, and is quite self-referential for that.

the second quote is from Neitzche, so you've probably heard it repeated various times before.

seriously, what would you like heroes to be? kust kill a good part of the cast (including matt parkman, who is IMO one of the coolest characters in a verry cool show) and throw in some bleedin one-liners, is that what you want?

what's your point, other than to come here and flame? the simple solution is if you don't care for the show, don't watch it.

He wants LOST.

Heroes would be as bad as Lost is if it didn't take itself seriously.

To be honest,I think it takes itself realistically instead of seriously.

It's set in our world,if people found out they had these powers, they would exactly as some of these characters are. Some get curious, some embrace it,some ignore it,some hide it and some abuse it.

The serious mood of the show is fresh and something new,you don't have everyone wanting to be a superhero and putting on a cape to do good or a villain of the week popping up every week.

If you want crap like that,go watch Smallville.

I don't think this show takes itself too seriously. Besides Hiro and Ando, did you see any of the scenes with Claude? I lost it when he threw Peter off the building.

And I love when people say "Get rid of these characters." The writers clearly have a plan for the *entire season.* Calm down and enjoy the ride. If you don't like the show, don't watch it. Or watch it, but if you're only doing so because you like to complain, leave us out of it.

How is Mohinder a Sayid rip off by the way? Their characters are nothing alike, they don't have the same ethnic background. Sayid is a soldier, Mohinder is a geneticist.

I won't even put my opinion down, GNR4Life summed it up completely :o
