Identity-Dr. Hurt is really Thomas Wayne the first his longevity and power comes from his pact with Barabatos the real devil he somehow got the second Thomas and his wife Martha to take him in but they caught him doing a ritual and sent him to the asylum

actions-I also believe Hurt is responsible for the murder of The Waynes so he could destroy their reputation which he tried to do in ROBW 5

the box I'm lost on especially after the new issue of Batman and Robin

-- Dr Hurt is Thomas Wayne the first from the days of Jonah Hex. I think he was the son or descendant of Nathaniel Wayne who condemned a witch to death during the Salem trial times. The witch cursed Nathaniel Wayne and his line, which is probably how Thomas Wayne the first has some sort of immortality.

Thomas Wayne who was a satanist in the 1700's and along with Thomas Jefferson & others performed the first "Ceremony of the Bat". The one back in Peter Milligan's Dark Knight, Dark City. Darkseid's fall (explained in Final Crisis) and subsequent release of the hyper-adapter (Batman #702) through time corrupted him further, even granting him immortality.

Watch us all be wrong lol

Probably, lol. I'll probably have a new theory before the next issue comes out. :hehe:

I still say Barbatos is the devil or may as well be the devil

i think we need a wayne family tree, ha ha ha.

Good luck with that Marv, lol.

Instead of a question mark next to Man and Boy, why not just put Woman and Girl?

man and boy were their actual names. the names of their wives were not known.

either way, nice family tree.

No Jason Todd? That looks good, btw. Provides some clarity. You got all of this from Return of Bruce Wayne and other stuff, Watchman?

EDIT: Just read your references.

So if the chart holds up Dr. Hurt = Bruce's great great great great great great great satanic uncle out against his kin from generation to generation. Always trying to recreate the family name his way. Talk about holding a grudge, that new god powered curse was some ****. Poor Nathaniel lol.

He's the Rodney Dangerfield of the Batman family. At least he has one more issue of Lost Days on the table. I wish they'd bring Jason back to B&R already.

Oh I didn't make it. I just pulled it from Comic Alliance where they do all the annotations for Morrison's books.

for my own entertainment, im just gonna pretend that all the question marks on the family tree are bruce traveling through time.

But that's my point exactly. If their actual names were man and boy, I highly doubt they married women named Janice and Susanne.

Well they certainly weren't named Janice and Susanne, that's just stupid...They were Irene and Juanita, everybody knows that. :oldrazz:

As far as Dr. Hurt goes..I'm a bit behind on B&R and ROBW so apparently I'm missing crucial information, but I assume we are taking Batman's assertion that he was Mangrove Pierce to be wrong? Man, who are we to doubt Batman?!

Their names were "****e 1" and "****e 2".

So Boy likes his women to be Spicy Latinas?

Oh Frank, will you ever stop? :hrt::heart:

Will probabbly find out the truth either in Batman and Robin and Return of bruce wayne next month or in 2012 during grant's big batman event

also I think barbatos is grant morrison's version of the devil based off everything related to the devil he's put into batman

but the fact is we dont know what their names are. be it woman and girl or becky and angela. hence a '?'. its perfectly logical and not worth taking issue with.

I dont. I dont think barbatos is the devil. I think that he's just a perverted version of Bruce's tale. Traveling though time he inspired a lot of people, but Hurt is a sick SOB so he sees evil everywhere. So instead of being inspired by Bruce he saw a demon and he created a satanic cult.

That said, some sort of huge bat attacked Dick when he was in the tunnels, and it again appeared when Bruce uses Nichol's device to time travel away from the fire in RoBW #5. Could Hurt's prayers have brought Barbatos to life?

more likely he summoned him but my biggest convincer is batman #666 when damian talked about meeting the devil and selling his soul for gotham and when michael lane described as having wings of black and skin like a bat that sounds like barabatos
