Since Franklin is this show's version of Benjamin Raspail, I wonder if his "friend" Tobias is kinda sorta Jame Gumb?

Maybe a little early for that. I think Raspail/ Franklin has to go into a little bit of details about a Gumb characters "hobby".

Forgot how Raspail ended up the way he did originally, but I was just as annoyed with him as Hannibal I think.

So, everyone who is fed a victim...

Are they considered accomplices after the fact?

I don't think the show is too fussy about the previously established timelines. After all, Chilton's been seen bumbling around already.

Wow. This show is on fire...

Mads is just getting more and more wonderful as Hannibal. Also, Dancy is getting finer at Will. Fishburn is magnificent too.

I'm liking that the ensemble (lab assistants, etc) are still quirky but not annoying like in other shows. This show is just great, I want more and more.

I find it very disturbing that this series makes me so damn hungry when Hannibal could very well feed all of his visitors with his victims, lol.

Does anybody else get the feeling that some of these dream sequences are reminiscent of Tarsem Singh's work in The Cell? Has a very surrealist feel during those scenes that I just love

Anyone else find the structure of this episode to be a little strange and all over the place? Loved everything in it, but the way it was presented was strange.

I can maybe see why this series is struggling to find new viewers. Based on the little "Previously on Hannibal.." that we got before this episode, I can't imagine someone stumbling on this episode and coming close to understanding it. I hope that once the season is complete, more people discover it on demand and DVD so that next season has stronger viewership.

I swear I'd never heard of tyromancy before this episode. I love a show that teaches you new stuff

this was definitely the best ep so far. just keeps getting better and better. we need more hannibal-centric eps like this IMHO though.

i feel like i might possibly be insane because im the only one who sees this, but this ep kept reminding me of the “bestest friend ” ep from invader zim o.o with all the references to hannibal lacking actual “friends ” , his loneliness and requiring more friends to “blend in ” with society and franklin’s “BE MAI FRIEND PLZ IM NOT CREEPY OR STALKER ESQUE AT ALL ” compared to keef stalking zim.....

anyone agree ? no ? yea, i'm insane.

Seriously, this show should actually be on the Food Network or the Home and Garden channel.

I wonder what would happen if Gordon Ramsay mouthed off at Hannibal.

I still get this The Cell-esque feel in them. I just love how artsy this show feels. Suits Hannibal as a character to a t

My wife is a gourmet cook and has made some incredible meals, but the plated food on this show looks so amazing, it makes me hungry.

:D

For a nitpick, I prefer the look on the right that Mads had in this episode while talking to his psychiatrist.

Is there a list of the dishes featured on the show? I recall Fuller mentioned on Twitter that the one noodle-dish they had in one of the earlier episodes was based on one of his mother's recipes. Even though it is a show dealing with cannabalism, they porn the heck out of food.
