Check out the first article? What does that mean? 45 million budget for the movie ? :cmad::csad:

I hope this is wrong. It simply does not make sense. See i don't like translation stuff. They need someone who can knows spanish to translate that.

i think they mean as of now they've spent 45mil...

plus they're shooting in mexico...

The One was made for 49mil

Doesn't seem right. Not worried. Wait for FOX to the release numbers.

Sounds right to me. Want to know why.
1. Its Fox they love doing things cheap.
2. This is the first movie. ex X-men had a small budget.
3. No big name stars to pay.
4. There filming in Mexico.

it's the first one. i dont think they need to put to much money into effects just yet. it's the beginning. maybe in the sequel...if they have one...they can juice up on the effects.

Agreed, Rupert Murdoch ain't gonna spend his company billions on an anime adaptation. Fox is a tight fisted studio.

i hate them...but i'm definitely going to go see their movie. lol!

Um guys, this is for shooting in Mexico not post production

There is a bright side to a low budget: the film is less likely to get lost in being a special-effects extravaganza (like Spider-Man 3) and might be more visually enticing through great sets, mysticism, and what not.

Hi im the new guy, nice to meet you

Anyway the movie hasnt gone into post production yet, and that can cost alot of money.

Maybe it means theyve spent $45 million so far, who knows.

Also the average summer blockbuster normally has $50 mil marketing budget.

Theres also an increased chance of Fox making a profit, which means a sequel is more likely.

Fox studios get back 50% of the worldwide gross back, if it cost $100 mil to make then the movie needs to make $250 mil for a sequel to be considered.

Thanks lobo, I highly doubt its $45 mil if it was they could have jsut put it out in August but they seem to be taking of it.

Special Effects are gonna take up more then half of the budget. so expect the remaining 50 Mill to be spent by the end of Post.

Location Budget.

This movie would be impossible with a $40 million. X1 was $75 million and FF was a bit over $100. I love how you guys say Fox is cheap when this is the studio that would rather spend extra money to finish a movie faster rather than take the time and save more money.

Its 100 million... I think fox realizes the potential in this movie and are ttakin a chance

It's quite sad how crazy you guys go over some spanish article XD

Yeah, and it happens ALL THE TIME. Ya'll need to take a chill pill.

First off guys, its been confirmed already by dozens of sources that the budget is 100 million dollars. Second, thats a French site.

If you read carefully it says that "DBZ" will cost 45 million dollars. This is the rumor of a possible sequel. You cant trust that article because its badly translated and because its just a rumor. It wouldnt make sense to spend 100 million dollars in part 1 and 45 million dollars in a sequel. So that article doesnt make sense at all.
