PRETEND! The CW wants a Smallville spinoff and TPTB put you in charge. What would it be about? How would you set up the series?

*The "proposal" would be mapped out as a series outline.

Personally I want:

SMALLVILLE:THE NEXT GENERATION
This nex-gen Smallville series would focus on a young Chrisopher Kent (son of Superman). It would show Chris coping with adolescence, his innate Kryptonian powers, and his struggle to carry on his father's leagacy.

SERIES OUTLINE

*The show would last five to eight seasons. Chrisopher Kent would move to Smallville from Metropolis to run his dad's farm (Superman would be reported missing or presumed dead).

*While taking place in Smallville, Chris would face meteor freaks, go on rescue missions, fight gangs with high-tech weapons and fight some villains from his father's rogues gallery.

*Near the end of the first of second season, Chris would find a mysterious crystal and takes it to the Kawatche Caves. He's transported to the Arctic where he finds the Fortress of Solitude. He would learn (through Jor-El or Martian Manhunter) that his father(Superman) is still alive and into hiding.

*Chris would visit Gotham City in one episode and befriend a teenager named Timothy Drake. He would be a friend/rival to Chris and team-up to rescue Batman. Tim would mention a "junior Justice League" or "a team of Titans" he's puting together and tells Chris to let him know if he's interested to join.

*Superman would appear in one episode to help his son with a "very special rescue mission".

With all due respect & remember I really do mean with all due respect, that idea is 100% unoriginal, boring & over the top.

The show would last five to eight seasons

So you wish to drag it out like Smallville then? :nono:

While taking place in Smallville, Chris would face meteor freaks, go on rescue missions, fight gangs with high-tech weapons and fight some villains from his father's rogues gallery.

So it'll just be smallville all over again for another eight seasons only with his son taking over the boring storylines?? :whatever:

Near the end of the first of second season, Chris would find a mysterious crystal and takes it to the Kawatche Caves. He's transported to the Arctic where he finds the Fortress of Solitude.

My opinion as above

Chris would visit Gotham City in one episode and befriend a teenager named Timothy Drake. He would be a friend/rival to Chris and team-up to rescue Batman. Tim would mention a "junior Justice League" or "a team of Titans" he's puting together and tells Chris to let him know if he's interested to join.

*Superman would appear in one episode to help his son with a "very special rescue mission".

Meh!........that's all I could conjur up at this point.

Props for giving it a go though. :yay:

Steve

smallville with Zod and Ursa's love child!
It could be so much more different that that outline!

you should really go apply for a job at Warner Brothers. You and Jon Peters would be bestest buddies

Personally, if I were to do a "Smallville" spinoff, I'd focus on Oliver Queen and Dinah Lance as the main characters, with occasional appearances by Lois, Chloe, and maybe even Clark (the last being once or twice a year, tops). I'd set it mostly in either Star City or the Suicide Slums area of Metropolis, and make occasional visits to Bludhaven and/or Gotham City. The show would follow Oliver's post-Smallville career, dealing primarily with defending the weak as the Green Arrow, and running the Justice League too. They've done enough of the backstory on both "Smallville" and the "Oliver Queen Chronicles" to make it work.

Yea if cw/wb is thinking about doing a smallville spinoff they should either do GA solo series or a jla show with ollie, dinah, bart, victor, AC, with MM/Clark showing up once in a great while. And to keep budget down if they did go for a jla show they could do just a few episodes for the whole team and the every other episode could be a different combo of two or 3 members per episode.

don't take this the wrong way, but..............are you high?

Um what would be the point? That would be like rebooting the Smallville series back to season 1. The concept is WAY too similar

I thought they were gonna do a Supergirl spin-off...

Personally they should have cancelled Smallville 2 seasons ago and then changed the show to Metropolis...about a young Superman in the city

Why do I feel like this has already been done... oh wait. Yes, just a little too similar. Sorry

I get it, it's too similar to the original Smallville. But the characters from the "next-generation" series would make you think otherwise.

CHARACTERS

CHRISTOPHER KENT(KAN-EL)-the son of Clark Kent and Lois Lane. He's a stubborn, brash farmboy who would rather do things his way than follow directions of others (including his mother, Lois). However, a tragic experience would "teach" Chris about the responsibility of protecting humanity and would develop a strong sense of duty and an interest in helping others in need.

Powers:Same as his father's (super-strength,super-speed,invulnerability,flight,heat vision,x-ray vision,super-hearing,super-breath), but with the addition of tactile-telekinetic abilities.

LAURA LERNER-She is best described as a "Chloe/Lana hybrid". She would serve as a sidekick and a love interest to Chris. She would be revealed as a meteor freak with the power of cyberpathy that would enhance her intelligence and her computer skills. Chris and Laura's relationship would mirror that of Dick and Babs.

DEREK HAWKER-Football captian at Smallville High. He's a slick, handsome, popular quaterback who seems to have the perfect life.Deep down, Derek has some insecurities and a more kind-hearted nature than he leads others to believe.Derek would be initially shocked at Chris' secret, but accepts it and develops a tough, brotherly bond with him and is there to give advice.

RICHARD "RICK" MERCER-son of Tess Mercer. He's a kind, honest young man who is willing to use his wealth for the "greater good". He would make friends with Chris an his friends, only to become their greatest enemy. He would turn his father's failing farming company into a LexCorp-esque defense contractor. He is basically an anti-villainous version of Lex.

ELENA PRINCE-the daughter of Diana Prince(Wonder Woman) and Bruce Wayne (Batman; she doesn't know who her father is). Trained in the Amazonian ways by her mother and and a fighter by Bruce,Elena is a young Amazon who is a force to be reckoned with. Her tough-as-nails attitude is onlu matched by her *****y exterior. Her relationship with Chris would be a love-hate one (thus foreshadowing a possible romance).

Powers:super-strength,super-speed,flight,durability,"photonic-blasts"

*third-degree black belt(trained by Batman)
*indestructable braclets
*lasso of lightning

nNo offense but it sounds bad...Its basically a rip off of Smallville, just not half as good.

I like that idea better, but why not make a justice league spinoff. Since they already put them together for a few episodes why not a whole series

The better spin off show for SV I think would deal with Conner Kent instead of Chris Kent.

this is still terrible, the only thing you've done is reverse the characters and their positions on the shows. Smallville has always been substandard, compared to the potential the show had... and you just want to extend the torture for a couple more years. PLEASE NO, even your 'edited' idea licks donkey nutz. All that with a big IMO behind it.

as I said before: go apply for an internship with Jon Peters, he'll love you, and it seems that you would love him. Bad ideas and superhero properties... you guys are a match made in heaven. And to end, as a brilliant line from Billy Madison stated: 'we are all now dumber for have listened to you'

Bad idea, no longer think these thoughts up. No son of .........

I'm sorry but....

LOL @ the son of a yet-to-be-introduced non-canon character being a main character in somebody's dream project.
