Dreamgirls

She is going to sing "Love You I Do" because it's also nominated for best original song.

I wish she was singing "And I'm Telling You.." too :down

i like Love You I Do, but you know what would rock?

if she did a medley and segwayed (sp?) into And I Am Telling You.

that's so something Effie would do and it would OWN!

oh, and i thought of this today.

here's some other things where the movie and play differ

james thunder early doesn't die, deena's mother does.

and the 10th anniversary thing doesn't happen. if i'm not mistaken, he drops pants in front of the president instead

I actually love that one. I like Changing too.

"And I" is my favorite but "I Am Changing" is my second favorite.

besides the obvious ones, i also really enjoyed Hard to Say Goodbye My Love, and Patience.

and of all the songs, dreamgirls is the one that when it's stuck in my head stays the longest. i think it's because i know the words better than some of the other songs

Jenny possibly winning an oscar, performing at the oscar?? Damn, no wonder beyonce's hatin. Anyway, I just want her singing a Bond song.

Just saw this. Waaaaay overrated. Very little life despite such an extravagant look to the movie. Beyonce cannot act, but Hudson and Murphy were very good in their parts.

And why would a studio need to apologize for this film? Seems pointless to me as its a work of fiction with some factual basis. I think I smell the foul odor of political correctness.

I laughed through most of this film, was quite disappointed with it. Hudson deserved the Oscar, she was fantastic. The costumes were pretty good and so were some of the songs. Just couldn't get to grips with the singing/talking bit, it worked it old musicals but IMO it didn't in Dreamgirls. I was expecting something amazing. Take a leaf out of Baz Lurhman's book and be creative!
