Any other fans of BSG really excited to see what they do with the Dresden Files in the timeslot right before it? I think it premieres in a few weeks. I absolutely love the books.

I've seen a few complainers, but I think Butcher had a lot of input on the series, so most of us Dresden fans have an In Jim We Trust attitude about the changes. It's just great to have a story you love coming to TV, and it will be here soon enough.

So as someone who doesn't read the books, is this going to be any good?

What does this show have that will put it above other paranormal or supernatural detective shows? Is it funny, witty, sexy, what?

Well Butcher makes the books clever as hell, and I would assume the show will emphasize being clever as well.

But as a fan of the books, the biggest draw for me is to see how a story that gets my imagination going is brought to life in someone else's vision.

The reviews seem to indicate there's nothing especially clever about the show other than that it's got a good concept.

I'm guessing the show won't last more than a season. Two tops.

Well I guess we will have to see. The 1st show Debuts tonight it's called Birds of a Feather and it's about a boy that hires Harry because he thinks monsters are after him and his mom.

For me it's Smallville at 8, SGA at 9 (but I've already seen it), Dresden files at 10, BSG at 11.

I have decided to start reading the books.

The complaints regarding the changes don't seem unreasonable.

I don't know. I guess you can fuss about that stuff if you want, but it happens in like every conversion, so might as well just enjoy it.

My favorite part about the way they did last's night show was the mood they created. Loved how everything was kind of dark.
