Not that the military isn't already steeped in this tec.
But talking about police and civilian use, the guy has a point about no accountability, we've seen the stupid/disgusting things people will advocate on the net with anonymity.
We've also seen the stupid/disgusting/criminal way people behave with guns.
Corrupt policing, target murder, terror, hate crime, revenge, mentally unstable, we've actually had teens just go out and driveby kill someone, because they were "board", according to their words, like it was a fun video game, completely detached to the victims humanity.
Now put that all together= ...the ultimate anonymous driveby "game".

To much? You think this tec. will be controlled, and disseminated only in the "safest" ways possible?
I'd like to believe we are not so stupid and self-destructive, that this burgeoning tec. will pas safely into civilians use.
On the other hand, ....people!

Flying remote control gun! Whatever legal hurdles will be surmounted, gun shops and walmarts must already be clearing space for this.

I know people that fly model airplanes, and I've seen them lose control of a plane due to a signal that was coming from half a mile away or more. Now, imagine what would happen if one of these drones received cross signals and the civilian lost control of the thing and it just started firing off bullets. Innocent people could die. There are already too many gun related deaths in this country.

YOu know, we already had a drone drop on the White House already, what's stopping some nut job from taking a drone and flying like a biological hazard into a large group of people? I'm just not too thrilled with drones.

Drones have been around for decades. They are just an evolution of RC helicoptors and airplanes. They are bigger and more sophisticated but ultimately they're still just an over sized remote controlled helicoptor.

Dismissively still calling them "just bigger and more sophisticated over sized remote controlled helicopters" is fine , just recognize more sophisticated = Increasing level of anonymity, distance, and what they can be loaded with.

Dude that set that up is in legal trouble, seems arming drones is a no no and now has the law going after him

Except...people...are attaching deadly weapons to oversized, mobile devices...?

What could possibly go wrong though?

I'm saying the sudden interest in this being a problem is overshadowing that the problem has potentially existed for a very long time now.

They are bigger and they are more sophisticated but it does not take either of those two to make a simple airborne pathogen spread or do anything else that seemingly now are being considered.

What I mean is the threat has been there for a very long time already. It won't just go away now that you recognize it and it does not mean it is suddenly going to happen as some regular occurence either. If someone wanted to attack a public place or the White House with a drone, they could have done it in the 1980's with a smaller RC helicoptor. That it happened recently just shows how lax security matters have been over these threats... until we started using them ourselves that is.
