DTL Season 5-Week 8 (Set 2)

I see nothing really to question in LadyVader's treatment of the regs/meds. I have a few more doubts about the uber fights. Sure, Hulk couldn't break Wonder Woman's lasso, but give it a sharp tug and he'd probably pull her into the path of one of his punches. I doubt he'd just have to let himself get flown around. That said, Wonder Woman is fast enough and durable enough that I think Hulk would have a really hard time landing enough punches to put her down. And between her and Thordis, they can probably find a way to beat him, as you say.

As for the Green Lantern vs. Thordis fight, I have a hard time imagining Hal going down that easy, energy absorbing or no. But I'm not sure exactly how he'd counter it. Anyway, aren't lightning bolts yellow? (at least in comic book art) :)

In any case, it's good enough for me. I vote for Deadpool's Harem.

I very nearly typed Deadpool's Harlem, which would be a different sort of team altogether. ;)

Deadpool's Harem vs The Last Chancers
Deadly Dozen vs Team Alpha Wolf Squadron - refreshing to read write ups without the Uber battles in them...and my vote swayed to Tim purely on the fact that his entire team can pretty much be undected until the last second by Harl's and in this type of battlefield it is a dangerously effective skill to have.

think i have to try challenging that...Red Son Superman broke it and he wasnt half as powerful as Hulk. yes it was an elseworlds version and they probably werent their same strengths and skill levels but still...its one to note

Really? I always thought Wonder Woman's lasso was pretty much 100% unbreakable in the way that Cap's shield is. (Of course, Cap's shield has been broken by Doom with the Beyonder's power, dented by King Thor, etc. . . . but they're both tuber-level characters.) But I guess it just depends on the writer.

Yeah, I think mainline DCU Wonder Woman has an unbreakable lasso.

Deadpool's Harem
Deadly Dozen

"My team on the other hand... is made of 4 lovely heroines and an idiot. Perfect!" That's all I had to read.

Something I wonder, though. Wonder Woman's lasso not only makes you speak the truth, it can make you be your true self. (If you're under mind-control, it can free you, as long as you're wrapped in it). Since Banner is Hulk's true form, I wonder if the lasso would turn Hulk back into Bruce...

With the exception of Deadman and Multiplex (because I have no idea what would actually happen), I was more convinced by Tim's writeup. Harl does have a very good point in that Tim's team doesn't have a leader. But I think Tim reflected this in the chaos of his writeup for his team. Harl's setups seemed too convenient. Now, I wouldn't have a problem with this if it was his team's leadership that led to the matchups. But it seemed to rely on Tim's team making too many mistakes.

You know I actually thought of using that tactic but Hulk has ties to Banner's subconcious so in some weird way, Hulk COULD BE Banner's true form in the sense that is just the ego while Hulk is all Id.

It depends on how you see Hulk and what you understand by 'true' form.

i can never take AquaMan seriously since hes weak than Wonder Woman and can talk to fish.

protection from the elements and harl having two useless Meds

that and stealth

and a mean Vision

i like multiplex though

Two useless meds? Are you joking? I don't mind people harping on Aquaman, but I at least expect you to know what he can do, even if you can't take him seriously. The man is quite powerful.

Deadly Dozen (very close one but X had the edge) and Deadpool's harem (even though I would have voted the other way if there had been any partcipation)

Just reread Red Son and i was mistaken it was Wonder Woman herself who broke the lasso. And as a result she becomes old and weak...and her strength levels prior to breaking are lower than Supermans so i think Hulk could break it.

In regular continuity, WW's lasso is unbreakable and in no way tied to her youth and vitality.

that i gathered but i was just stating that it has ben written to be broken atleast once

XfanTim just cause Harl is a bit of a shovinist. :D Yeah, distract the WOMAN in the team by playing possum. Sure.
