Me being a Dubstep producer, I would like to think what is the Hype's general thought about this "genre" of music.

Do you like it?
Overrated?
Just a fad?
Just a fad for teenagers?

Just wanted to see what you guys think.

I think it's a fad, but I'm not really caught up with what teenagers are into right now other than Bieber and Twilight.

It's a step up from techno. I'll give it that. My friend has a dubstep station on his Pandora and once in a while it'll come on. I don't mind it too much but it gets repetitive.

Everything is a step up from techno. Even country music.

Eh, not really a fan, but I hear it all the time at our parties. It all sounds the same to me.

I don't hate it, but I don't like it.

Only techno I enjoy is the tron: legacy soundtrack. Does that even count?

Love it. Get a little high. Put some DubStep on. Can't beat it man.

I like it, but I admit to having terrible taste in music. Something like Patrick Bateman without the disarming good looks and murdering.

Im a fan of a wide variety of musical genres. I like dubstep along with Techno, trance, and house music. It offers a nice changeup once in a while from my usual stuff.

No. There's a difference between Electronic and Techno. Tron Legacy is in the electro genre.

Techno is only fun when you're raging.

Dub Step is awesome. But not this commercialised crap they use in pop music. It's been around in the UK since the 90s, so it might be a fad in the US, but it's been going for years.

Zeds Dead are good

And Leftfield were doing Dub Step before it was even Dub Step

This is a tune too

I don't like the music but watching people dance to it is cool.

Dubstep is awesome, but to me it seems more like a UK thing as it fits a lot of our party scenes well. I'm always taken back when I'm watching an american programme e.g. Jersey Shore and I hear dubstep come on, its like huh???

Dubstep might be a fad in the U.S but like over posters have said its been around in the UK where it orginated for over a decade.

I like better than other British Urban genres suck as UK Garage, Drum & Bass and Grime music.

I like some dubstep. Honestly I have a hard time distinguishing what artists belong to what genre.
