Dumpster explosion in NYC injures 20+

Looks like someone blew up a dumpster in NYC and injured over 2 dozen people. Add that to the pipe bombs that went off at a military charity race in New Jersey and something smells a bit fishy.

From reading Twitter and a couple news sites, it looks like the bomb squad is investigating another potential device, which is being as reported as potentially a pressure cooker bomb.

Sounds like the FBI arrested 5 people today near the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge in connection with the last night's bombings. Witnesses say the suspects looked Arab or Muslim.

This terrorist's ineptitude saved a lot of New Yorkers today.

Fortunately it seems the majority of terrorists are inept at causing harm to anyone but themselves given how many are foiled or blow themselves up before they can harm others. Most of it in spite of the FBI and other alphabet agencies attempts to spy on everyone and still fail to catch them.

Granted I am not on the inside of the investigation and my knowledge come only from the news but these devices as being reported right now seem to have differences in design and explosive agents. I am worried it could point to more than just the current suspect being involved. The story is of course still unfolding but... Well I hope it is just this one lone nutjob.

I was in the City on Sunday and they stopped my train before it reached Elizabeth due to one of the devices being near the Elizabeth Train Station. Most importantly no one was injured except the robot. But they took us to Newark Airport Train Station and we all had to find alternative means of transportation. I had to take an Uber to the train station I was parked at. It took me 5 hours to get home.

If the last year has shown us anything statistically it's that the word "lone" doesn't really apply anymore, it seems there are a bunch of these nut jobs out there.

Lone only in that there were not people directly connected to them, not lone as in they had no help over the internet. The idea of the "lone wolf" has rarely ever been applicable anyways.
