Duncan Jones' Warcraft

(Writing down on Post It) ...Irons and Poppa Bowie... Got it.

I actually see him every few months or so cuz his dad lives at the building I work at. I am the overnite concierge for a building in SOHO NYC. The first time I saw Duncan he was actually coming in the building and he was dressed EXACTLY like his dad did in the Tin Machine Modern Love music video. Freaky.

Eh don't like the Farrell suggestion. Didn't he tank Total Recall.

He has starred in two big budget films and both lost horribly. Dunno why Hollywood is trying to make him happen. He simply ain't happening.

It could be his rebirth, in that Viggo mold. Whatever you say, LotR set the standard that this will be compared to. I think they need some big time names, and Farrel is still a name that won't necessarily overshadow the project. He was PHENOMENAL as John Smith in A New World. It was Malick directing him, but still. He can clearly act in the right circumstances.

Even with stars movies are flopping horribly and losing money. Lone Ranger and RIPD are examples.

The studios should be cautious as to who they hire for leading man in big budget films. I don't think you can put a 150 million dollar film on Farrel's shoulders. Get somebody like Chris Hemsworth.

Colin Farrell was FAR from being the main problem in Total Recall, that movie was a misfire from the beginning. Not even Bryan Cranston could save it.

Farrell is underrated. He may not be a proven box office draw, but he's a solid actor. I like Patton too.

Bottomline, star power isn't going to be what sells this movie anyway. People will see it because they love the game and if it looks really good (LOTR or Harry Potter quality fantasy... not [Insert Uwe Boll Fantasy Film Here] quality). But if it looks like yet another fantasy turd, then it doesn't matter who is cast in the lead roles. The movie will bomb or at least underperform.

I don't like Ferrell in big action films, he seems to lose his ability to act when playing in them.

Will Farrell has more box office power than Colin Farrell.

Farrel and Farrel in a Duncan Jones movie. Just think about that...

Apparently, Paul Dano, Anson Mount, Travis Fimmel, and Anton Yelchin are also up for roles in the the film. I like all of these choices, especially Dano and Yelchin.

I have an idea who Mount may be playing, or at least what type of character.

Dano and Yelchin are good actors, I don't know anything about the other guys.

Farrell gets a lifetime pass from me fore Tigerland, Daredevil, and Fright Night. Man, he was an entertaining vampire.

I still have to see Tigerland & Fright Night.

He's amazing in In Bruges. That movies friggen awesome. Always seems to be forgotten.

Don't get the hate with Farrell when it shows up. He's one of the best out there imo.

I don't get the hate either, maybe people are still stuck on the Alexander/playboy/alcoholic period. Since he dropped that:

In Bruges, as mentioned several times. Seven Psychopaths, Ondine, Triage (or Shell Shock as it's known someplaces), supporting roles in The Way Back & Horrible Bosses, I'm forgetting a few, but as you say, when he's On he's great.

Along with that, he comes across well in interviews. Funny & thoughtful, seems like a sound guy.

I have an idea who Mount may be playing, or at least what type of character.

I've always pictured Anson Mount as "the guy we get to play a Native American if Wes Studi is not available."

Anson Mount is awesome on Hell on Wheels. I'd love to see him in this.

I haven't been following this closely. Is it a big budget film?

It will be although I doubt anyone will know for sure what the final budget will clock in at.

To give you an idea, it's being financed by Legendary (Man of Steel, Interstellar, Nolan's Batman), so it won't be a cheap thrill ride; but a tentpole.

Yeah, they can't pull a Dungeons and Dragons with this one. They want it to make some bank because they know how much of a religion the ****ing game is to some people.

OK thanks. Good to hear!

Think Lord of the Rings, but quite a bit more expensive. Speaking of the D&D movie, I watched it again the other night. Boy was it awful, but Jeremy Irons overacting like there's no tomorrow is hilariously entertaining to watch.

Nice! The question now is, will Star Wars be released that December?
