That's right . . . I'm gloating!! I was reading the new Casting section on BOF, and was elated to find that in Jett's section on how Hulme should be the Joker, there was a fan rendering of Hulme as Joker that was produced by none other than yours truly . . . . I'm just kind of stoked that Jett would use my drawing, independent of my own persuasion . . . that's all . . . you guys can rip me apart if you want . . .

I hate Jett's reasoning for supporting Hulme. Gut instinct, and he wants an unknown. Just because you dont want/need a big name like Johnny Depp, doen'st mean you have to go full blown unheard of. Paul Bettany isn't exactly a household name, even after Da Vinci Code and Firewall. Acting ability should be their first and foremost concern.

If Hulmes gets it, I am fine with this.

If Bettany gets it, I am fine with this.

If Eccleston gets it, I am fine with this.

But if Williams gets it, I am negative with this.

well . . . if it's any consolation to Jett; and I'm not defending him just because of this whole thing; I believe in Hulme for the same 'gut-feeling', mostly . . . . I just really think he's going to get this part . . . that's why I bet Norm $50 on it!!

And also, seeing Hulme in action convinced me that he not only has the look, but the charisma and chops to pull off the role with intensity, sincerity and playfulness

DV8 I make a living as a graphic artist and industrial designer. Legally he can't use your pic without permission. Now is it worth legal action? No, of course not, it would cost you more money in the long run. He should at the least give you credit for your drawing. I'd be mad as hell if somebody used my work without permission. It's like stealing. I'd suggest that you keep emailing him until he actually reads your message and explain to Jett that he should give you props for your work.

I like the content of BOF, but the site is poorly laid out and navigation is all over the place. Plus it's advertising and pop-up heaven. The only reason I keep going there is because it probably is the best site for Bat-film news.

AGREED.

Hulme was my second choice only to Eccleston, but either way I'm happy. However, Williams, who I love, should NEVER, NEVER-ever come close to this role...EVER!

BTW, DV8 ya should have signed the pic, but congrats anyways...I love that thing!
