DVD/Box Set Discussion

I did like the episode, but even if I didn't...I still think it would be a real hoot to hear the three girls talk about this episode. In one of the recent interviews with KK, she did talk about how much fun they had together dressing up like ho's. :D... I can just imagine the tales they could tell about having Tom shirtless and all tied up. Hopefully KK will loosen up a bit on the commentary with Allison and Erica there instead of the boy's club.

My top request is still.. Tom doing Transference. I bet he'll do it, he said it's his favorite ep of the season too (at least, so far). Keeping my fingers crossed.

I also hope and pray they include a gag reel this time. That off-the-record stuff is the funniest..

Good point.

Hopefully she won't be as intimidated by the process and actually say something this time. She hardly said a word on the commentaries for the 2nd season eps she did.

Maybe having all those men in the room made her freeze up... Once MR gets going, I would imagine it would be hard to get a word in edge wise. :D ;)

But wasn't she only on the Red and Rosetta commentaries like Tom? Her parts in those eps were hardly were her being in the commentary anyway.

She should have commented on Calling or Exodus instead or one of the other Lana centric eps that season. It didn't really make sense for her to be on Rosetta and Red. Nocturne, Precipace or Visage woulda also been better choices for her for the 2nd season...
I thought people were to hard on her. Really JG didn't do that great of a job on Truth and no one complained. I think pairing friends is good, the interaction between MR and TW was excellent so I expect good things from KK and AM. Beeman also was really good proabably the most informative of anyone. It helps of course that he goes out of his way to give Tom credit for things and sugestions he had.

I don't think you're giving him enough credit. No, maybe his commentary wasn't as fun as MR's was but at least he had more then three or four sentences to add.

I'm not really blaming KK for her lack of poor commentary, I was just saying with all those guys in the room who had a lot more to do with the final outcome of the episode, it's no wonder she didn't have much to add. I think they were so looking forward to having their top three doing a commentary together without really thinking if that's what they shoulda done.

I think they could have used KK more effectively in another episode where her insight would have been of more value.

Another good point. The girls apparently all have a good time together, so that'll probably be a lot of fun.

You know, of all the behind the scenes crew he's the one I'd most like to have a few beers with. I bet he has some great stories to tell and his knowlege of the show is positively encyclapedic!

He'd be a blast to hang with, I betcha. He seems like such a nice guy on the commentaries and it doesn't hurt that he's such a huge Tom Welling fan! ;) :D

I thought KK sounded preoccupied, rather than intimidated. Still, either way she needs to say more.

I thought so too, and the only one in the room with her was Tom, so there was no reason for her to be intimidated..I thought she just didn't seem interested, I don't know, its hard to tell (not that I cared:)).Tom and Michael were fun:)

She may have been preoccupied a bit, it's true that she didn't really seem into it, but I'll wager that she was also a bit intimidated.

Being a girl, other girls shouldn't take this the wrong way, but there have been studies that prove this...

Girls don't tend to pipe up in mostly male situations and there were three men in the room with her. Beeman, Rosenbaum and Welling.

That's why same sex education tends to work better for girls. Girls just do better (i.e. act with more confidence in new situations, which is what she was in) when boys aren't around. She's not much past school age and she is an actress so her self-esteem probably isn't what it could be, so that might be a factor.

That's what I was referring to by saying that she was intimidated.

I didn't think she was scared by the men she had been working with for more than a couple of years, by that point. She's probably pretty comfortable with all three, but in a group talking about an episode she wasn't in much?

I can really see where her confidence woulda been shaken a bit by the sitch. So maybe intimidated was the wrong word...

'Sides, it's easier to stay quiet in a room that MR is in anyway. He's going to upstage you, no matter what. ;)

I tend to monopolize conversation myself, no doubt you've noticed how verbose I can be from time to time.... ;)

I write basically the way I speak... Venom is amazed at my vocabulary at times.

He'd be even more amazed if I used all the words that I wanted to here, but don't because I'm too lazy to look up their spellings. :D

I rewrite a lot to get around my little spelling foibles. There are just some words that I can't ever remember how to spell.

Like supercalifragilisticexpialidocious?

I need sleep, I'm channeling Mary Poppins...

I'm a pretty decent speller. And I can be a bit of a talker too.
I know that's a big surprise.

I'm not a great speller, but that actually looks ok.

Okay....

Oh, btw:

I emailed Craig and looks like I'm good to go.

I'm so happy!

And there's a new Smallville episode on next week!

Life is good!

Oh, James gave me good tips for getting him to reply quickly, and he did!

Just make your subject line something the worst muck raking journalist working at the Star or the National Enquirer would be proud of....

Something alarming or exciting or maybe even titilating. You have to get his attention and make your email jump out.

I'm sure you can think of something... ;)

:D

Oh, and sorry about the Illini.

:(

You have my sympathies...

Heh. Hehehe. :D

It's true though.

You guys talking about getting Craig's attention? Hee! Last year, I was naughty and sent him WireImage photos of TW at some function - I forget which one. (Yes, I know James, big time NO NO LOL). But Craig was pretty quick on the uptake with THAT. *evil grin*

I'm not surprised, have you SEEN the mess MediaVast companies can cause if they throw a hissy? :p

Didn't seem to stop Craig. He had those photos posted on the news page within the hour. *giggle*

Exactly my (rather abstract) point. He likes to be cheeky. ;)

That like saying he enjoys living dangerously? ;)

The reason I'm defending KK is I was a poster on K-site at the time and they massacred her over the commentaries. It went so overboard it was almost laughable. I agree she did a fairly poor job but th number of posts detailing her failure WOW. KK come across kind of snooby at times but nowthat I've seen the charitable work she's invovled in and more about her I think she may just be a little weird and have an odd sense of humor. Triplet are you going to be doing reviews at K-site? If so that's wonderful! :)
