Superman Returns DVD price reduced (already!)

In my local music/movie store (Virgin in UK), there are three versions of Superman Returns. A single disc, a two-disc with normal cover, and a two-disc with exclusive cover.

The two-disc versions went on sale on Monday at £14.99. Today they were marked down to £11.99 - I saw staff putting price reduction stickers on at lunchtime.

I will be getting this DVD for my movie collection (even though I found the movie disappointing) but it can't be a good sign for the movie if the DVD is already being reduced in price!

I think that's probably more of a marketing ploy by Virgin for the Christmas market X. It's the same scenario in HMV here in Dublin.

They reduced the price for the X3 dvd as well shortly after release.

Fantasic four last year...a month after it's release was being sold for 10 dollars at bestbuy, CC...everywhere.

they realise the fanboys will snap it up first week then reduce it to entice normal folk.

and X3 is still £15.99 is virgin UK retro although that was 2 weeks ago.
