What about the DVD release of the IMAX version with extra footage? Have they talked about that yet?
No way an October release happens.
I say 11/20, 11/27 or 12/4.
Maybe a director's cut by then.... I dunno. We'll just have to wait and see!
I doubt they'd release it on 12/4. It would be going against Pirates 3.
Wow. POTC3 on 12/4 is a long time inbetween theatrical release to DVD.
Ok, I'll say 11/27.
HEY EVERYONE, all it true october 16 dvd and HD come out .... here
here proof so that true oct 16 2007 YAHOOO let's fast days
That's fast...looking forward to it
Ah, but did you see the small print that says "this was the date listed before Paramount's announcement towards HD DVD exclusivity"? May not be the official date anymore (much as I wish it is!!).
I Guess (If this rumor is true) TPTb of the studio wants to make sure Transformers has enough time to make a huge profit on their dvd sales before the arrival of the rest of the Summer Blockbusters dvd releases .
That's the only logical explanation on this supposed early Release date .
Actually its no suprise as its when the other two films came out on DVD. Disney is thinking Christmas witht the Pirates DVDs, as not only are those movies great films, they're also box office gold, making them home entertainment gold too.
It comes out on November 1st in Australia. I actually thought that we would get it first, since we got it at the movies a week earlier.
It is very early, like most people I was thinking December at the earilest, but if this is the case October's looking like a good month for DVD releases, I know the date could change, but they rarely do anyway. I mean look at what we could have:
Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer-Oct.2
That's a pretty big month to me.
Is this a firm release date? That is pretty quick, I didn't think we would see it until December, it is great if it is but I wonder if it will be a double dip from the studio, like a single disc with no extras on the DVD in October and then a fully loaded 2 or 3 disc set at Christmas time or a little later.
its not exactly early, considering it's been in theaters for some time now, and is STILL in the theaters. dvd's are getting more and more closer to end of theater date than they used to, so it's natural.
It'd be real sweet to get it by that date but I think it's too early as well. I mean Spider-Man 3 came out what May 4 and the dvd is supposed to come out after Transformers? I mean nothing says it can't but it just seems that since Spidey had two months on TF the dvd coming out first seems odd. Oh well I guess and what's this talk on an animated prequel? That'd be real killer.
Check this out!
For those of you who can't be bothered clicking the above, here are the special Features:
Audio Commentary by Director Michael Bay
2 In-Depth Making of Documentaries
And the covers are:
that... looks... AWESOME!
This 16th of October release date may actually be true guys. Amazon.com has it listed, but doesn't reveal the release date. I highly doubt they'd have it up there if it was coming out way in the November/December time frame.
I have to disagree with that Golgo. That page has been up ever since the movie was released. That's how I get on the e-mail alert lists, and did so with Amazon July 4 when the movie was released in theaters.
Actualy, Ezydvd is a very reliable source, and got Spider-man 3's cover, dvd release date and special features list more than 3 weeks before it was annouced anywhere else.
If that EzyDVD Cover is true I was not to far off with the DVD Cover that I did. Optimus Prime is on the front with Megatron on the back.
