Are there any concept drawings on the 2 disc set of the different Optimus Prime looks before they settled on the way he looked in the movie? In the movie they compacted his vehicle form all into 1 piece which was just the truck part but in the cartoons he would pull a trailer that would break apart & become his legs. They probably thought that it would make him look to bulky & less stylish or to Power Ranger Zordish if they gave him a trailer to pull along that would also become part of his body.

The Toshiba HD-A2 HD DVD player is $227.12 on Amazon.com right now. Buying this qualifies you for the 5 Fee HD DVDs via Mail-In Rebate.

But it gets even cheaper if you have an XBOX 360.

The XBOX 360 HD DVD player is $179.99, comes with "King Kong" HD DVD, a universal remote, and qualifies you for that same 5 Free HD DVD MIR. PLUS, if you buy this at Best buy next week (starting tomorrow), they'll throw in the Heroes: Season 1" HD DVD for free, too! That's normally a $100 set!

    nonononono :p

The HD DVD player that's the attachment to the XBOX 360 is $179.99...with a universal remote, "King Kong" HD DVD, "Heroes: Season One" HD DVD (if you buy this at Best Buy the week starting tomorrow), and 5 more Free HD DVDs via mail-in rebate.

The XBOX 360 itself is extra.

The average HD DVD retails around $25-$30, so those 5 free ones and "King Kong" would be anywhere from a $150-180 value. Plus you get the remote which would be maybe a $20 value? That right there is $175-200 value.

PLUS with Best Buy's deal, add another $100 value with the free "Heroes: Season One" set, which puts the the value of the freebies somewhere around $275-300. So yeah, you're DEFINITELY getting a great deal by doing this for only $179!!

Edit: Just out of curiosity, since Amazon.com is always much cheaper than retailers' prices, I added up the prices of "King Kong" HD DVD, 5 copies of the "Training Day" HD DVD (which was one of the 5 Free Movies), the universal remote, and "Heroes" HD DVD. With Amazon's cheaper prices, that tallied up to $216.64.

Sorta-kinda. I have to admit - I don't want ANY of the free movies. They don't interest me at all. Too bad.

Same here...if other DVDs were up, say the Matrix Trilogy or Spiderman trilogy, sure, I'd go for it. :hyper:

Ooh, even Pirates, but nevermind, that's going to be Blu Ray. :csad:

Still can't get over the fact that Bay indeed read all the criticism and ideas the fans throughout during production. It looked like he was mainly looking over on the Seibertron forums (they showed the site on the extras dvd), and reading stuff.

Sometimes i think all the ranting we as fans do go un-noticed by film makers, but this proves the power of protest. He indeed changed Megatrons look because of all of us that hated the intial designs and spoke up about it... And to me Megs looks alot better.
