I THINK YOU HAVE ME CONFUSED WITH 'WHF'........I'VE BEEN OFF THE 'EA' HATE BANDWAGON FOR A LOOOOONG TIME, BECAUSE THEY'VE MADE SOME OF MY FAVORITE GAMES FOR THE '360'.........THAT ACTUALLY FEEL LIKE "NEXT-GEN" GAMES. all the psp needs is a few more games... i mean, it's basically a portable ps2, so how is that not fun? portable gta isn't fun? loco roco isn't fun? a new portable metal gear game won't be fun (i didn't care all too much for the ac!d games)? portable resident evil? portable devil may cry? that's not fun? please.

the ds is okay, but not my cup of tea. tapping a stylus on a tiny screen instead of just pushing buttons doesn't do it for me. it's awkward and uncomfortable. i'd much rather play the new warioware and new mario the regular way.

I think I'd probably agree that the DS is the more console. Nintendo systems have always gone for the quirky, fun edge to games and consoles, where as Sony systems tend to provide a different type of entertainment. Games like Tekken, Wipeout and Syphon Filter are fun, just in a different way to the more child-like fun of Nintendo offerings.

EA are hardly one to preach. They'll put their crap out there regardless of whether it is fun or not.

As some people already said:

It seems that EA is upset with the sales of NCAA 07. The PSP title was not in the top 25 last month while every other version was so instead of lashing out internally at the fact that the game was ruined by a running glitch that turned many off to the title, they are pushing the blame over to Sony and the PSP sales. There is no reason that a perfect version should get out to the reviewers and a buggy version out to retail. That doesn't make sense.

There are a pretty healthy amount of PSP units in the hands of gamers in the US and unfortunately EA hasn't taken advantage of that. They have stripped down titles or in some cases ruined titles with with buggy programming and poor quality control. They think this is ok as the 360 titles still sell even though they are stripped and are buggy and the fact that they isn't a huge amount of 360 consoles out there (5-6 million units), but at $60, the games are still bringing in quite a nice little profit. They expect the PSP to give them some good numbers even though they are pushing the same game at the same time. At least with Madden last year, there was a little delay. It wasn't released on the same day as the console version. EA should have done the same thing this year.

Very true. Many serious gamers on the Internet knew of this problem within hours of the game's release, and word of mouth undoubtedly spread to the retail sector just as quickly. I can't really blame a potential buyer for taking a pass (ha!) on the PSP version if he knew that there were severe problems affecting the gameplay. No one here should feign surprise at the knowledge that sales of the PSP version are tanking relative to the other versions--it's doing so for the same reason that games like Burnout Legends and Marvel Nemesis on the DS tanked.
