Anyone else face this dilemma? You find a restaurant, order something that is delicious, and then order it over and over again, but never try something else? I recently found this awesome Cajun restaurant where I live, and twice now I have ordered the same thing because it was so good. I'm heading there again today and I might just do it a third time.

How do you go about it? Take the risk and trying something else? Or just stick to what you know you like?

I've done that all the time at Subway.

I used to do the untoasted Turkey every time then it was the untoasted Italian BMT on monterey cheddar bread with some cheddar cheese sprinkled on with light mayo, salt/pepper (although that orange colored sandwich seasoning just noticed) and same veggies (lettuce, black olive, bannana pepper, black olive, green pepper, onion, but may do spinach as well at some point). I've tried the regular Italian there lately but always go back to the same thing at Subway as the rest just doesn't cut it. Subway seems to be the 1 restaurant I never really like to deviate from one thing ever.

However, Little Ceasars I tend to just get the regular hot and ready pepperoni too for many years. I tried the thin crust about month ago and didn't like it as much. The pretzel pizza with cheese whizz under the cheese was novelty for a bit but got moreso tired of it... I moreso don't get special toppings due to the price difference and convenience factor.

Most all other places I do try and order something different or even maybe feeling the need to go to different places each time and find should've just stuck to routine. I'll often look at the menu seeing all the different possibilities before able to order at some places so best if I don't overcomplicate things.

I typically get the same thing at places, with a few exceptions

Get your usual order and just order the new thing you wanna try as well.

if it's a chain type place like Subway mentioned above, i usually get the same things.

if i'm in a restaurant, sometimes i'll try new things. i've been traveling for work a lot the past year, so we try to eat at local places and try dishes that are popular in the area etc. when in doubt, i'll usually get variations of the same things though

When I have some time to pamper myself and chill for a spell like to hit up eggspectations. I love eggs benedict, so no matter where I go for breakfast/brunch that's what I go with. If it's made with crab cake/lobster instead of the usual/ traditional ham all the better. Occasionally I'l try something like shrimp and grits, I've been wanting to try eggspectations breakfast tacos and huevos rancheros, but eggs benedict calls me, actually a lot sounds good. It's a struggle.

Well I succumbed to my instincts and went with the same. So worth it though. Maybe next time I'll go for the blackened catfish etouffee.

I hate spending money at a restaurant only to be disappointed so once I find something I like I tend to stick with it.

I just stick to my number one rule: I don't eat pasta unless it's an Italian restaurant. Or pizza.

The side that I stick to: fries. Nothing could go wrong with some good old fries. Unless the oil is way too old.

If it's been a while since I've been at a restaurant, then it's the usual. If I happen to go back within a close amount of time? I'll try something new.

I'm a creature of habit. Subway I get Italian BMT on Italian bread with shredded cheddar, lettuce, onion, black olives, and mayonnaise. Though occasionally I'll mix it up with spinach instead of lettuce, provolone cheese, and toasted.

O'Charley's I get Prime Rib Pasta.

I prefer new, unless it has been a long time. If I do get something over and over again, it is almost certainly because I can't get something similar anywhere else.

For me, it really depends where I'm going. There some places that I know what I like, and so usually have what I know, though I first had to go there and take a gamble anyway cause it could have turned out horrible.

On the whole though, it really does depend where it is. TGI Friday's for example, I'll often have the barbecue chicken cajuns because I know they're good, I know the burgers are nothing to shout about, and I can get a much better steak elsewhere. There's a local pizza delivery to me that I order from probably one every two or three months, and there I'm a little bit more flexible.

I'm fine with my usual at most restaurants.

At my favorite restaurant I’ll get the usual, but if I’m exploring at another spot, I’m game to try something new.
