Eccentric millionaire completes life size Noah's Ark replica

He should just make a fake Ark of the Covenant and hide it somewhere.

Meanwhile, I am barely getting by on my **** salary.

"It's a funny world we live in."

In before thread turns into a religious debate.....
Also, Who was uninjured?

I'm Dutch and I have no idea who this guy is. I guess eccentric rich people can go unnoticed, right Mr. Wayne?

Besides being a waste of money, thats pretty cool. And nice that its open to the public also. I'd like to see it one day.

I feel like this eccentric millionaire is probably plotting to flood the Earth.

So ALL the animals in the world fit on that?

Now he just needs to buy two of every animal, and one of the world's most insane wastes of money in the name of religion will be complete.

Funny. Would this be a waste of money if it were done in the name of art instead of religion?

SuperFerret says yes, but SuperFerret is all about practicality as you all probably know.

Yes, it's true that spending hundreds of millions of dollars on some movie or other form of art isn't charitable and could also be called a waste of money. I just find this case particularly ironic because for a religion that preaches of alms and giving to those less fortunate, he instead chooses to please his God by building a life size model of something from a Bible story with no real purpose today. Surely this can't be what the Bible teaches you to do if you are so fortunate to be a millionaire.

Sounds to me like he's making it a museum of sorts, which could be construed as charitable.

It's a waste of money either way you put it. But let's be honest, there isn't a better way to waste millions of dollars.

Two of every animal, and make sure they're the delicious ones.
