Inspired by "Seen" in the "No Bana" thread, I could easily see Norton portraying Banner. Not to mention he could also, easily pull off the "bookish glass-wearing type" that's being looked for. Norton is now my number #1 choice for this role.

What do you guys think?

is it me..or is every superhero movie that comes along..someone suggests this guy..

good actor yes..bruce banner?

no.

NO KIDDING! Every superhero movie that comes along, someone ends up suggesting Norton. Why?

I don't see this and hope it never comes to be.

An A list actor playing a C list hero. Hmmm...

A few people never are. Whether it's for Tony Stark, Bruce Wayne, or an "older" Peter Parker.

Yeah farfetched, but I'd be interested on his take on Marc Spector's multiple personality disorder.

NORTON FOR BANNER.
I agree. He kind of reminds me of Kubert's Banner and I love Kubert's work.

me & my buddies have been talking about how Norton would be perfect for Bruce Banner ever since we saw "Fight Club" where he played a very nerdy, bottled up guy, eons ago.

but yeah, he's too high profile for this role now, especially since Lee's HULK didnt get enough critical response (although IMO it was a pretty decent Hulk movie).

to those critical of the idea of Norton being Banner: At least he's a better choice than Purcell...Purcell defies the idea of the contrast between a skinny nerdy Banner & the mammothlike HULK.

Norton would be great....but i hope Duchovny gets the part....skinnier, nerdier, more fit for a role of somebody engulfed by his own fear

I agree he'd be great as Banner but Norton wouldnt touch a comicbook movie - he's too damn serious about his craft.

Although, he does have a sense of humour. He described '40 Year Old Virgin' as one of his favorite films.

On tonight's (or this morning?) Late Show with Craig Ferguson (on ABC), Edward Norton went to promote his latest movie "The Illusionist", and just before doing such formalities he gave an example of what kind of characters catch his attention aside from his usual roles, he said Marvel's Dr. Strange is a very interesting character, much to bring him to a project like the mentioned above.

He also said Paul Giamatti (another actor that showed his interest in the character on interview with Wizard Magazine) have talked about Dr. Strange and even played with ideas and costume looks that would work for an actor to play the role.

So, this (IMO) definitely translates into that Mr. Norton had (or will have) at least a phone call with Marvel Comics about him playing such role. Too much of a good actor (along with Giamatti) to lose the chance of him playing Marvel's supreme sorcerer.

So, it's entirely possible.

Edward Norton For Everyone In Every Fricken Movie Ever Made!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm as big a Norton fan as the next guy, but you guys are insane.

Hey, I'd go for that. It would definitely help market the movie. Norton is one of my favs as well.

Not a bad choice, but i'm more for Caveiziel.

I have a feeling it will be an unknown Norton is to A list and Caveizeil just doens't fit right

How bout that book wormy guy from LA Confidentila...they need someon like that Guy Pearce I beleive...but younger
