Different time of day likely, I dont entirely buy that it's the same shot. The spots on the ground where the sun is directly hitting it still looks like golden energy or something more than dirt. Much less blinding though

No, it's actually the same shot. You'd need to have a nuclear bomb going off in the game to have the world look like that.

You're supposed to say "The gray tone on his armor is too dark now."

I wonder if I can actually catch people on fire with destruction spells now, rather than just shooting magic fire at them that does nothing? I really want this game to have something like that, with "on fire" voices like those found in Invisible War. Those were hilarious. :o

No, see if WHF had just told us that the shot was altered we would have avvoided the whole thing.

According to Peter Molyneux, everything in the path of your fire line catches fire, and depending on their properties (flammable, explosive) they react in a realistic manner. If it hasn't rained within the gameworld for a few days, you could burn the entirety of Cryodil down with just ten Majicka.

Not only was a different photo present at the time, but I spent more of my time arguing about the meaning of his words than the picture in the first place. Reading the entire thread (which I did) wouldn't have changed a thing. The very fact that he felt the need to post that other shot, and the contrast between those two shots, is testament to the fact that the original shot had a blinding amount of light bloom regardless.

It wasn't direct feed. Bloom lighting doesn't turn people blue and make flora neon.

Therein lies the (maybe lame) joke. :o Molyneux wasn't even the project lead of Fable and he just started making up features in interviews.

But that's just my dry sense of humor breaking through.

Molyneux talking about Oblivion has about as much weight on the game as when he talked about Fable.

But to fully appreciate the joke you'd have to know years worth of Fable hype, and I don't think you knew about that game until five months before it's release.

I knew about that game back when it was project ego
And I understood it after explanation number 1, the "I missed it :(" was referring to the fact that I didnt catch the joke on the first try :down

Haha, sometimes my dad says it in a joking way, but you should disconnect from the relatives who sincerely say it immediately. :o

But back to proving Oblivion's graphics...

I forgot how short Morrowind's draw distance was, so seeing this with the (completely accessable) mountain in the background is really great.

One time in Morrowind I had an arrow knocked, so I just fired it off into the fog and in the distance I heard "You N'wah!" :D

I have superior skills in that department to anyone here, even Zenien, just so we're clear :o

And no, my Mom didnt "learn" me much of anything besides getting yelled at. Thanks a lot Thwip :(
