Went on Threads and oof. Someone posted about that racist ranting at that city council meeting and most of the posts talked about how Muslims deserve to die and should not be allowed to exist.
So Twitter introduced a feature that lets users see where accounts are based on their location. The feature revealed that many accounts claiming to be from Red States were in fact from Russia. Elon quickly rolled back the feature claiming it wasn't working right.
It makes me wonder why Dorsey never implemented this kind of feature before. It would have gone a long way of exposing bot farms and bad faith actors on the platform. Oh yeah he never cared.
