Which one do you prefer the Emo Peter montage or the Raindrops montage?

I like both. But the montage from S-M3 was just more fun and enjoyable (I really cracked up when he did the little dance after coming out of the store with new clothes), so I voted for that.

To me the raindrops montage works better cuz it fits the moment of the story better. It was okay to have that lighthearted goofy moment cuz Peter´s life was supposed to look like it was going to be rosy at that point. In the same part of 3, Peter was supposed to be in a much darker place in the story, so it didn´t feel right to me.

Both were great, but i'm going with emo Peter...the Twist was enjoyable as well

Raindrops. I thought the stuff was hilarious in SM3 and worked, but I think it may have been too broad for this point in the movie.

I thought Emo Parker was one of the highlights of the film. From the hip thrusting to the cookie gorging to the egotistical "Goblin Jr." quote, it showed how the symbiote brought out the visceral side of it's host.

the whole emo scene and the jazz club part made sm3 seem more like the 60s batman than the previous spider-man moives to me

Raindrops, not even a question in my mind. Atleast that was actually supposed to be goofy. Every "bad Peter" scene made me wanna look away, it was so embarassing.

I loved both. The Raindrops sequence was more narrativ forwarding but the Emo Pete dancing scene was great to watch and allowed us to see the affect the symbiote had on him.

Both are quality :)

Yeah the "Raindrops" montage actually was funny. The emo/ symbiote Peter scenes and montage was just...awkward. Thats the best I can explain it. You kinda smiled at first, but then it kept going and going .......and going....and... what the hell, Peter is humping the air...and going....

It just failed.

LOL, I agree.

The raindrops scene was fine. It was just dorky Peter being his dorky self trying to distance himself from Spiderman. That was the point I got out of it.

You don't think the intention of the 'Emo Peter' montage was for it to be goofy?

Raindrops easily. The emo-Peter was fun at first but they just streched the joke too much.

I loved both, but I voted for emo Parker because it was more fun. I laughed so hard when I saw him pointing at all the ladies and then doing his hip thrusts.

once again, NOTHING about that scene is Emo at all...if it were some gay ass band like Thursday playing while Peter sat in his room writing live journal entries about how much he hates his parents and then cut himself, that would be an emo montage...you people are all idiots...

Raindrops scene was one of the best montages ever. It wins, by far.

Emo Pete montage was funny at first, I laughed at a lot of the things but I don't think it was done right. It was meant to be funny, but it shouldn't have been. It should have shown things like Peter being evil and unfriendly instead of scoping out the babes and humping the air.

You have no idea how much I laughed at that. LOL!

And we say Emo because of his hair style, mascara, and dressing in all black.

Emo Peter is meant to be the exact polar opposite of Raindrops Peter. Really showcasing how much the suit was affecting Peter's mind. In Spider-Man 2, when he gave up the mantle as Spider-Man, he felt on top of the world in a way that he had a great weight lifted off of his back. He could be himself again and not having to worry about other people's problem. In Spider-Man 3, he is full of himself as Spider-Man. He's a show off and only wants to help people so that he can make himself feel better. I think that is what makes the Emo scene so good. It really showed Peter's dark side as opposed to his good side.

I couldn't agree more.

That's got to be the worst case of stereotype misuse.

the "Emo Peter" scene was funny and all, but it just felt wrong all the way through, and was more over the top than usual. it lost me half way through it. plus the music was pretty forgettable.

"Raindrops" was f***in genius. it fit the story, the music worked great with the scene, and that ending when we freeze on Peter's face... hilarious!

actually, it really showed Peter's over the top idiocy side more than his dark side. his dark side is what we saw after the ridiculous dancing in the jazz club. big difference.

How is he "emo-Peter" in that scene. There is nothing "emo" about hip thrusting, dancing, gauking and hooting at women and pushing nice Polish girls around...if anything he is the Anti-Emo in that scene.
