My local B&N told me it would be out and on sale yesterday, but nada.

Has anyone stateside gotten a copy, and if so, where?

I've seen it in England, not much help but they you go.

I work at B&N in Marlton, New Jersey. We got it in. I bought two copies, one to read and one to never open, because, ya know, i'm a dork and all...

The article is pretty good, and had an interesting bit of info: it claims Nolan had no intention of ever making a sequel to Batman Begins, but changed his mind while making The Prestige.

That kind of statement freaks me out !!!!!!!:wow: :csad:

I think the "never intended to do a sequel" stuff is just Nolan propaganda. I'm pretty sure this was planned as a three movie deal from the beginning.

i went to books-a-million and saw an empire magazine...but it was 2 months old...pretty bummed out that i cant find one...

Probablyu...but still I imagine Nolan is trying to preserve his liberty !

Mayhaps Nolan is the Bill Bellichick of films...

"I only focus on one film at a time. I don't want to talk about making history." :sour:

If that's true, then I wouldn't have minded him not doing the sequel. I wouldn't have wanted an uninteresting director on board. Why get into a three picture deal if you don't know if your heart's going to be in the next two? He did say in that recent interview he always 100% into his present work rather than planning ahead and diverting his attention.

I got mine two weeks ago, in a local magazine shop in newark DE, also got the Wizard comic at the same time, great read if you ever get the chance.

Yea I think he has known it will be three films, but I think the anticipation is what he is trying to build.

I don't see too big of an ego, just in some of his interviews almost a dry English wit.

I truly do want to meet him some day, from a few of the board members that were extras or met him sure enjoyed his company and his attitude. Seems like a good guy.

I bought a copy at Borders in Chicago. I would assume a Borders in New Jersey would have it too.

my B&N also said it was out today, but nothing...next time I'm over there, Tuesday, I'll check again.

GASP!

I work next to a boarders. and ive checked on the stat ever since i found out about the mag..and no go..so i gave it up for the weekend! sob!!! now i must go and get it tomorrow!!! yeah!

Any new pics in empire? I only got wizard, cant find empire anywhere

no new pics, just the cover image again, only without all the "spray paint" and such.

What does he have to gain from lying? Besides, it was Goyer who claimed to have a 3 movie plan, not Nolan.

I don't find it too hard to believe. Considering it took a while to get the second one put together. I don't think Nolan was ever outspoken on wanting to do a three movie series or the sequel, not like say Favreau is for Iron Man right now saying the first movie is just chapter 1 of his story.

I've been to my Borders twice with no luck. They claim they carry it, just don't know when the new issues are coming in...guess I'll try again this week. It is the January issue right?
