Empire is currently hosting a poll to find the 500 Greatest Movies of All-Time.

"Take part in the most ambitious movie poll ever. Or don't, and then ***** about it forever."

:lmao: at that tag line for it.

The tagline is right, you know. Any top 100+ list for movies/tv series/books/anything has people b****ing about it forever. At least this way people get to have a say in it.

My top 10 was something like this (I don't remeber the exact spots for 6-9 :o) :

  1. Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
  2. Return of the Jedi
  3. Terminator 2
  4. Raiders of the Lost Ark
  5. The Dark Knight
  6. Jaws
  7. The Incredibles
  8. E.T.
  9. Braveheart
  10. Forrest Gump

My top ten went like this:

1. The Dark Knight
2. Magnolia
3. Jaws
4. Mulholland Drive
5. Halloween
6. The Usual Suspects
7. The Shining
8. Fargo
9. The Silence of the Lambs
10. Terminator 2: Judgement Day

1. The Matrix
2. Memento
3. Silence of the Lambs
4. Kubrick's 2001
5. Psycho
6. The Empire strikes back
7. Princess Monoeke
8. Casablanca
9. A Clockwork Orange
10. No country for old men

My favorites always seem to change but those are my top so far. My top five have remained fairly consistent for quite some time however.

1 Serenity
2 The Dark Knight
3 The Truman Show
4 The Shawshank Redemption
5 Batman Begins
6 Kill Bill Vol. 2
7 Pulp Fiction
8 Fight Club
9 Alien
10 Battle Royale

The Truman Show is so underrated. Its Jim Carrey's best movie.

1. The Departed
2. The Dark Knight
3. The Matrix
4. No Country For Old Men
5. The Shawshank Redemption
6. LOTR: Return of the King
7. Empire Strikes Back
8. Batman Begins
9. Gladiator
10. Black Hawk Down

Such a waste of time....most popular films with (mainly British) Empire readers, a demographic of mainly males aged 18-32.

And so predictable....The Godfather, The Shawshank Redemption, Pulp Fiction, The Dark Knight will probably be in the top five....

SW: The Empire Strikes Back
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Aliens
Saving Private Ryan
Spider-man 2
The Dark Knight
LOTR: ROTK
The Matrix
The Bourne Identity
Fight Club

I can't wait to see how this turns out.I forgot what I had in my top 10.

I can tell you now....the top ten will be The Godfather, The Shawshank Redemption, Pulp Fiction, The Dark Knight, The Empire Strikes Back, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Matrix, Fight Club, and Aliens or T2 or something similar.

Sounds about right.I remember I put Fight Club at number 2 on mine, and Pulp Fiction was also in my top 10.

what's the point of this? there are so many "top movie" lists out there that there's no need for yet another one.

7 The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly
8 Open Range

Got my subscriber copy of the latest issue (with 007 on the cover). They're revealing the winner next issue and are celebrating it by printing (I kid you not) 101 different covers with a different movie on each and a special subscriber cover they're keeping secret.
